Like others have said these are not cheap. I had them in my cart saved for later for over a year. Finally bought them on Black Friday. Used them three times now and I can honestly say they are worth every penny. My gym has only 5lbs increments which is fine for many dumbbell exercises. But at some point I get to a point where the next step up is too heavy. For example bicep curls for me tend to move slow. Previously I had to go to the next 5 lbs up and then kind of push hard one workout and then move down 5 lbs again to add reps to each set then finally go back up 5 lbs to make progress. These make a more natural step up possible. They clip on to my gym’s dumbbells solidly and securely and do not move during exercises. If they get dropped I would fully expect them to come out of place. Make sure you consider the shape of the intended dumbbell handle. My gyms are round with a bit of a lip. This works perfectly. But I could see that the shape of the handle would be a factor for some brands. If your gym has only 5 lbs increments and you are serious about working out these will be worth it. They do make my gym bag a bit heavier but that does not bother me. If you are commuting with them in your gym bag it could be an issue. Read more

I’ve only used these for a week but so far they are great. They are a nice size. Super helpful for adding small amounts of weight to exercises I’m not quite ready to go up a full 5 lbs and easier to swap than doing traditional weight plates. They do slip down a bit on my straight handle weights but are great for the ones with the thicker middle grip. Hope that the springs hold up for a long time. I’ve been eyeing these for a couple years now and am happy with my purchase. There has been a small fleck of paint chip off so I expect more of that in the future but that doesn’t really bother me so long as they work. Read more

Here’s the scoop. I bought the off brand cheap set of “made in China” micro weights so I can add 2.5 pounds to any weight (the five pounds jumps at the gym aren’t working well for me). They were 46 bucks and they are crap! You have to use a RUBBER BAND to keep the weights on the dumbell. Also, they’re so big that they protrude out from the dumbell, making it awkward when set down. I sucked it up and bought the on brand, “made in America” set. What a difference! They’re smaller in size and fit nicely inside the dumbell. They are clearly better material, and they are SPRINGLOADED so all I have to do is pop them on and off with ease. This set was pricey at 96 bucks, but for ease of use and quality I’ll pay the extra $50. In this instance, you do get what you pay for. Read more

I love these! I tried to buy a set that cost half as much, but they did not work nearly as good. I ended up returning them and buying these and I am very happy with them. They clip easily onto dumbbells, barbells, and cable machines. They stay on and don’t fall off or move around And they’re smoother and more compact than the other set that I had purchased. First thought was that these are kinda pricey, but made in the US by a small business made me purchase on Black Friday. And I see now they are worth the money. High quality, well made! Such a great addition to my home gym. Now I can go up in weight on all the dumbbells I already have. All my dumbbells are different brands and therefore different sized handles. These work on all of them, some are a looser fit but they still fit without slipping around. They also fit in the inner part of my Olympic barbell, inside the collars (NOT on the 2in sleeve where weights go) so I can see myself using them there as well. Love these and would recommend them!
