Feels like very high quality.
My previous few microplanes have all broken. The plastic handled ones do not last. I also tried another metal handles one that came apart at the handle. These are very well made and heavy. The only part i can see failing is the weld points where the blade connects to the handle. Read more

Fraying wood causes splinters even after 1 washing by hand only
The wood handle on these microplanes becomes frayed, even with gentle hand washing. I was wondering why I had these Itty bitty splinters in my hand and then I saw the state of the handle, which had been (hand washed only) washed ONE time. I love their other products, so this was very disappointing. The wood needs better finishing during manufacture in order to make this safe and enjoyable to use. Read more

Metal part is great, but wooden handle has splinters
I’m so disappointed, especially that I love the brand, and for how expensive this series is, that the wooden handle is rough and has splinters on it. I expected the finishing on the handle to be of better quality. Read more
