The media could not be loaded. I was hesitant to purchase this unit as many people complained about the unit clogging and leaking in heat mode. However, if you hook up the drain hose correctly, it works great. I have three of these in my house and while I cannot run a drain line directly outside I have a mini hose line that goes into a 5 gallon jug and that will capture condensate for at least one week before I have to dump it out. In regard to the unit itself, it is quieter than I expected, and quieter than older, pure AC portables that I have had, but it is still louder than the Midea window units. No, let’s talk about efficiency – my main reason for buying these. I live in an area with ridiculously high kilowatt hour prices over $.50 on average, this unit has shocked me with how little electricity it uses. I’m averaging about 5-10kW per day and leave the unit on 24/7 and let the inverter do its work. Overall, great bank for your buck. This was supposed to be a bandaid until I got mini splits- but this may be my permanent solution. PS: the Midea Smart Home app is great for a remote control- especially if you have multiple like I do. It’s so nice to warm up the house while I’m still waking up in bed. Read more

The heating function only works with outside temps above 41 degrees- which in itself presents a problem. It’s pretty much useless in cold weather. As James and Jimmie would say, if I could give zero stars, I WOULD! Read more

The AC is more powerful than what I needed for my small office room, but it works great with my home assistant setup. The only negative is that I can still hear it running considering it's about 5-6 ft from me. It only took roughly 30 minutes to install the hose to my windows. Read more

We are very pleased with the unit. It does a great job cooling our room (haven’t tried the heat yet). It’s quiet and pushes a good amount of air. Do I wish the parts that go into the window were a little thicker? Yeah, but they work fine. We taped all the seams with black electrical tape so there weren’t any cracks to let in very little insects. It’s solid now. I do like the idea of the hose within a hose. I went outside when it was running and it really exhausts out the heat. That was impressive. I see that some reviewers thought the installation was complicated. Admittedly, the instruction video is lacking detail. But if you just go step by step according to the manual, the installation isn’t too difficult. Would we buy it again? Yep. Read more

The cooling performance is good, but the unit makes a constant clicking/rattling noise during operation. This is frustrating, especially for a product advertised as ultra quiet. Due to the heavy weight and difficulty of returning it, I had no choice but to keep the unit. This should not happen at this price point. Read more

My son picked this out and I bought it. He installed it with a few words. Runs great. His wife liked mine so yes I bought them a bigger one for their house. Runs great also. Now I'm thinking of buying them another one for their upstairs. This heat in my state is not normal. So I'm happy he found these. Knock on wood they keep running and I didn't jinx myself. Read more

Unit kept cycling, vent temperature was warm... Only blowing 63f degrees (my other portable ACs blow anywhere from 26f to 35f out of the vents). I returned this unit several times, and each time the product was defective in some way. The hose in hose system is also a pain in the ass and not flexible or easy to use in the slightest. I tried really hard to like this unit, but I tested 4 in total and every one of them had some kind of problem.. I finally stopped trying the returns and just asked for a refund. Read more
