I was really impressed with these shorts — they honestly feel like a great alternative to higher-end brands like Lululemon. From the moment I put them on, the fit and fabric reminded me of premium performance athletic shorts that are comfortable enough for everyday wear but functional enough for workouts or active days. Comfort & Feel The material is soft, lightweight, and stretchy, with good breathability. They move well with the body and don’t feel restrictive or stiff. I wore them for extended periods and found them comfortable with no irritation or chafing. Comparison to Higher-End Brands If you’re familiar with lululemon shorts, these have a very similar look and overall feel. The main difference I noticed is that these do not include a built-in liner, which may be a dealbreaker for some people depending on how they plan to use them. Personally, I didn’t mind the lack of a liner, but it’s worth calling out. Pockets & Practicality One thing to be aware of is that there is no zippered pocket. For anyone who likes to securely store keys, a wallet, or a phone during workouts or runs, this could be a little disappointing. The pockets are fine for casual use, but I wouldn’t trust them with valuables during more active movement. Fit & Versatility The fit is flattering and true to expectations. They work well for casual wear, light workouts, or lounging, making them a versatile option to have in rotation. Final Thoughts Overall, these shorts offer great comfort and a premium feel at a more affordable price point. While the lack of a liner and zippered pocket may not suit everyone, they’re still a solid choice for anyone looking for stylish, comfortable athletic shorts without paying a premium brand price. These are a good length, and they fit more or less true to size -- the Large size claims to fit waists from 35 to 37, and the elastic waist fits my 36-inch waist securely without being too tight; the drawstring isn't really necessary. The pockets are deep enough to completely hold an iPhone, but I wouldn't try doing anything more athletic than a semi-brisk walk with a phone in there. The fabric texture is the best thing about these: it's not at all stiff and crunchy, but neither is it as drapey and clingy as a lot of super-lightweight fabric tends to be. However, the shorts are cut rather flat in the front, which means that (at least with all the underwear I tried them with) they do not leave much doubt as to the sex of the person wearing them. Depending on your mission, you may count this as either a positive or a negative attribute. Read more

I've been using these for several weeks now, and I love them. My only complaint is that they're a little shorter than I would normally choose, but I'm sure I will value that feature a good deal more in the hot and humid summer. These are built to breathe, both in the spareness of the design, the airy cut around the legs, and the natural ventilation of the material. At the same time, though they are lightweight, there is plenty of substance to these to ensure that they will last while taking a beating during workouts and in heavy wash cycles to get all the sweat and dirt out. The material doesn't have any noticeable feel against my legs - no chafing, not slippery - it's just there. I'm 5'11", 175 lbs and the medium fits great. The elastic offers a good range for comfort, and the waist tie provides additional tightening, if needed. At this price point, I think these are a good value, capable of offering long life of hard use. Read more

I am 5'10", 175lbs, athletic build and ordered a medium. I've been using Mier athletic shorts for my gym and running go-to shorts for a few years now so when these ones popped up I was excited to try them out. Unfortunately, they're a bit too lightweight for my liking. Certain anatomy makes its presence known when wearing these for jogs or workouts and it's a bit more revealing than I prefer to be. That being said, they are comfortable, well made, have pockets that are deep enough for a phone, and the price point for them is fair if they're you're style! Read more

If staying cool and dry is your goal, these shorts really deliver. The fabric is super thin, lightweight, and slightly stretchy, and it dries fast—great for workouts, walking, or chasing grandkids around. The waistband is wide, vented, and very comfortable, with a clean look. From the photos, you can also see the mesh detail along the waistband and sides, which helps with airflow and keeps them from feeling stuffy. I also appreciate the hidden drawstring. Definitely check the size guide before ordering. I got a large for my husband since he usually wears a large, but these run roomy. A medium would have been a better fit for him. The side pockets are big and convenient, but they’re open (no zipper), so they’re better for casual wear or lighter activity. There is a small interior pocket that’s perfect for a key fob or a bit of cash. The stitching and seams look well done, and the fabric has a smooth, quality feel in hand. The 5-inch length is the same across all sizes and gives them a modern, athletic look without being too short. Overall, these are great-quality running and workout shorts—light, breathable, quick-drying, and comfortable—and the price is very reasonable for what you get. Read more

My Rating: 4.3 out of 5 stars These running shorts are extremely lightweight and made from a very comfortable material that’s perfect for athletic movement. The 5-inch inseam is a great length for cardio, and the quick-dry fabric handles moisture well during a workout. They are a bit thin and can be slightly see-through in certain lighting, so they might be best for a home gym. Still, they are a fantastic, breathable option for staying cool and moving freely during intense training sessions. Read more
