UPDATE MAR 31, 2025: I've been using the watch for nearly 2 months and am even more satisfied with my purchase than I was at the start. The problems I initially had with the weather and temperature reporting function have disappeared. The flashlight function is a surprisingly useful feature. UPDATE FEB 28, 2025: What I learned about the weather app is that when I walk away from my phone and am outside Bluetooth range, the weather app disconnects, and for some reason, when it reconnects, it sometimes displays wildly inaccurate outside temps. To correct and resync one needs to go into the phone app FitCloudPro, select Device, slide off the "Weather reports" option, and then slide back on. Other than that glitch, I am still happy with the watch and especially like the battery life. I am charging it about once a week when it hits 40%. Original Review: For someone who wasn’t even sure if they would like a smartwatch, I’m happy with my purchase. It has all the important features I was looking for, namely, long battery life, waterproof, multiple clock faces, the ability to answer & receive calls, display weather and text messages, track sleep and heart rate, and has a flashlight. It has all those features and more. After having the watch for a little over a week here is what I have discovered : Learning curve: The instructions are minimal. You do have to download the FitCloudPro.app to utilize all the features of the watch. It took me about 2 days of trial and error to figure out most of the features and how to use them. Battery Life: Impressive. For the first two days, I set the watch to always on display (AOD). When you press the side button the watch's full feature display stays on only for a short time. The time on is adjustable. I set mine to 15 secs. Normally the watch will go black after that time. When AOD is turned on instead of going black after 15 secs the watch will always display a simple clock face with the time and date. The user can choose the AOD face to be a digital or an analog clock display. After 2 full days with the AOD turned on and my exploring all of the features, the battery lost about 25% a day. By the end of the 2nd day, it was down to 50%. On the 3rd day when the battery hit 40%, I charged it back to 100% and turned off the AOD display. Since then I have been using as I normally would occaisionally checking the time, my messages, and answering the phone. After 5 full days of normal usage, the watch still shows a 70% battery charge. Flash Light: This may sound like a gimmick but I’ve found it useful a couple of times such as looking under a car seat for something dropped. Waterproof: I have taken multiple showers with it on and so far no problem. Voice Assistant: This works on my Sam Ultra 23 phone but it took a lot of trial and error to figure out how to do it. I am still not sure I know what I did to get it to work. Initially, I could only get it to work with Bixby but now I have got it to work with Google Assistant too. The FItCloudPro app must be set to run in the background and then under Device in the app I discovered I needed to touch the watch icon to display the page that allowed me to turn the “audio connection” on the watch. Size: I have small wrists and was concerned about the size. It is large but it fits. See my comparison picture with my LCD watch. Wish list: 1. A more detailed manual and/or a user support webpage. 2. Ability to change the order of menu icons on the watch. 3. Better remote camera interface with the phone and ability to upload images. I got this for 55 bucks and it's hard to complain. It doesn't look this cheap. It's a good looking watch: the metal casing, the large glass face, the 3 chonky, metal buttons, even the band looks nice. It pairs easily to my android phone. You don't have to create an account to use the phone app. The screen is vibrant and high res. There are (I think) over 200 watch faces to choose from and you can upload your own background picture/artwork as a face. This is a pretty large watch and, while it's not "light", it doesn't weigh as much as it looks like it would. The sound level/quality from the speaker is decent, good enough to make calls when digging out your phone isn't convenient. The alarm could be louder but the vibration helps. The flashlight is a pretty fantastic little addition. It is similar to using a cell phone light. It's the oddball feature I wanted that drove me to this almost unreviewed watch. I need to use it for awhile to see how well it tracks steps, sleep and health, to see how well it works to take calls on, but first impressions are this is a pretty good watch. Lowest-price watch I could find with blood pressure. Checked it with inflation sphygmanometer: readings were with 1 point, so good enough for my purposes. I don't use it for phone, but do control music on headphones: works well enough for that feature set. No GPS on watch, but the step counter mileage matches the GPS app on my phone. The battery capacity is not overstated: I'm at 40% six days since recharge. In all, at this price point, this watch is a real find. An excellent deal. Glad bought it. Read more
