We go through a set of these every year or two. They remain sharp longer than most and cut through our blue tick, walker hound mix cleanly and quickly, without crushing the nail. Once we feel they are getting dull we get another pair. The price is right and im not sure if I could sharpen them to a like new edge. Read more

Love these!!! Cuts right through my boxer mutts thick finicky nails with no fuss. It's super easy to cut a large amount of nail or tiny slivers at a time. We've tried 4 other brands that struggled and became dull within a handful of uses. Easily held by my fairly small hands and fits right into my little travel kit. They're very compact and simplistic, but get the job done. They open super wide so I was a bit worried about my hands cramping up, but the spring is light and easily compressed. Super comfortable to use and I'm able to get through all four of my dogs nails back to back. They're sharp and holding up really well for personal use and business. Definitely plan on buying another pair when it's time. Easily used on dogs as small as 15lb up to 75lb. Read more

Great little clippers! The nail guard does fall/slide a lot and I think we had to glue the handles on, plus it's a little dull now, but these were still much better than store bought generic clippers. Read more

I kind of love this pair of clippers. It’s cut my large (80lb) dog’s nails like butter. It’s so sharp that I can slice off tiny shavings of about a millimeter. I think the sharpness makes it more comfortable for the dog, since a duller blade would feel like more pressure. I’ve trained my dog to love nail salon time. She jumps up on the table with enthusiasm. I trim her nails a little bit every few days. These are so sharp—please watch instructional videos before trying nail clipping on a dog the first time! The only thing I don’t like about this tool is that the straight locking piece often swings in the way while you are trying to make a cut and blocks you. I do not use the depth guard anymore, but it isn’t in the way. It does make it a little harder to see what you’re doing if you use the guard. I replaced my last one of this brand recently as it was getting a little dull and wasn’t cutting cleanly after about a year and a half. I’m in a salt air environment that eats metal though, and so your longevity may be better. It may be possible to get it sharpened rather than replacing the whole tool, but at this price I’m happy. Got them for a good deal and they cut great, as expected. This model feels okay in the hand but the more expensive ones are slightly more comfortable. Read more

From a VERY experienced dog owner: These are the gold standard. Just fold the "nail guard" out of the way, it has no use. These are the sharpest, best cutters for medium size dogs up. You can slice off the thinnest section at a time, if you want to get really close. Not for the teeny dogs, though. Read more
