This AviaryEye Mini Body Camera is exactly what I was looking for. The 1080P video is surprisingly clear for such a small device, and the audio is decent, too. The included 64GB card is a great bonus, so you don't have to buy one separately—it's ready to use right out of the box. The design is discreet and it's super easy to clip onto a pocket or bag strap. It stays put while I'm moving around, which is a huge plus. I've been using it for security at work, and it's been reliable and easy to operate. The night vision also works better than I expected in low-light situations. Overall, I'm really impressed and would highly recommend it. Just received the pen cam so I cannot give a long term review but, so far, it works as described. Not much of a user manual but it does tell you what you need to know. The USB cover at the bottom of the camera requires a little extra force to remove but, once off and connected to a laptop/PC, the results are good. The camera is very sensitive to movement so it's best to try and keep it as steady as possible but it does work. I had seen a comment but another customer that the time stamp was incorrect but, if you follow the instructions, you will see that you only seen to open up the file titled time.txt once connected to PC with a work processor like notepad then, modify the time date setting as described. Update, after using the pen-cam for a few days, still satisfied overall but I have found a few new items that I wanted mention. #1, the videos taken in dark/nighttime lighting conditions are very grainy but usable, the IR switch does work but does not do much at distances of more than a few feet. #2, when you turn the cam on in what I thought would be standby mode, it automatically shuts off after a few minutes. #3, when switched to taking video it will stay powered on and I noted that the video segments are in 5 minute groups which is fine. I assume this was done to prevent huge file sizes of long time videos as each 5 minute segment is about 330-350 mb in size. Again, still no regrets on the purchase. Read more
Great body camera, speed, picture quality, and sound are amazing. Value for the money is worth it. Instruction quality is a little limited as I had to watch several videos to figure out how to watch the recording and change the stamp date. So far I have not been able to view the videos on my phone and have had to use my laptop. I’ve also noticed that this body camera does not turn sideways when placing it on your body and I’m only 5’1” so it records upwards and I need it to record while I’m walking my dogs and kid to school. I’ve also noticed that this camera does not do well with movement, it works better if you’re standing still or recording to spy. When recording and walking it shakes and you can not capture much. I am a private investigator and was looking at a replacement for the Lawmate key fob camera I use to use. This body camera has amazing video and audio clarity, set up took 5 minutes, and I love it for recording statements and discreet surveillance. The camera has a wide horizontal and vertical angle so it can be fastened to the shirt or belt. I highly recommend and I think I am going to buy a back up. I can't believe I am getting this quality of a camera for under $50. Read more
It is cheap and the video quality is ok for the price. I tried it on vacation and filming while walking - even slowly - results in unwatchable bouncy video. I will primarily use it for some kind of still, mounted recording. The night feature is pretty good. Read more
The battery life averages about 2 hours in motion detection mode, and that is without video. The only video I was able to get was of myself setting the device up to record. The interface with the storage card is terrible. This camera is very poor quality. Video images in low light are grainy. I recommend spending a little more for a pocket camera that has better features. Read more
The media could not be loaded. So easy to use, easy to quickly upload videos and charge! I usually get confused by tech but this was so easy I completely skipped reading the instructions! (I did refer to them to change the time/date but that's a personal preference.) I have now taken it 'out' on excursions for hours at a time. This not only records everything, but the quality is HD. I can't recommend this enough, it is absolutely amazing and so impressive for a great value! WOW! Thank you! I removed the sound because we both swear a lot. It records good quality sounds as well. The video quality is clear and sharp, even at night, and the audio picks up voices perfectly without too much background noise. It’s small and lightweight, so I can clip it on and forget it’s there. The 64GB card holds plenty of recordings, and the battery lasts long enough for my rides.
