These exceeded my expectations in every single way. As another reviewer mentioned, the inside seams are finished nicely (shown in the photo). The fabric is a higher quality weight than expected, not too thin or flowy, more like a trouser material. Did not come out of the package ultra wrinkled either. The pleats are not as pronounced as in some of the product images, which I like. Fit: I am a pear shape, these fit looser in the thigh & butt and taper in at the waist. The flat front waistband makes a nice tailored look, the back elastic is very forgiving and has a soft stretch. I have a 28" waist and bought the large (I always size up in pants) - depending on the look you want, I think the sizing chart they provide is accurate & a medium would also work for a more fitted look. They are loose and comfy without looking too casual or like pajamas. Second photo is pockets! My whole hand fits in the pockets. I hope they keep making these & I will definitely be buying more. I love that these pants are 100% linen, it's awesome! The linen is good and thick, I love natural fabrics and this is no different. I ordered size Medium and I'm 5'4" 130lbs waist 28". It's a bit loose, but I like that, it's comfortable. I will need to either wear a belt with it or just wear it like "hammer pants" as it hangs on my waist. I wish they would flare out less at the hips, they're so wide and my hips are only 33" so it makes them look much wider. Nevertheless, I'll wear it for comfort and breathability. The beige/linen color looks natural and is not see through. The seams are all well sealed, amazing quality! I wish they'd restock them in other colors, I will buy more! Read more
I wanted a pair of relaxed fit all season pants to balance all my skinny pants and leggings. Grey is so hard to find, that I jumped on these when I saw them. I read the reviews and took a chance. They came today (overnight! for free) and I love them. I was apprehensive because there was no size Small. So, I got the medium and they are just right. The waist is about an inch bigger than I prefer but that's a minor issue. For perspective, I am 5'6" and 113 lbs. My waist is about 28" or so. The cuffs fall just at my foot. If I fold them up once, they are right at my ankle. As some other people have pointed out, they are beautifully made, with the inside seams finished -- nothing raw, no overlocked hems. The pants are not too baggy, just elegantly curved in the style from the 1990s that is coming back now. They are so comfortable I got them in other colors. Make sure you check your measurements. I believe these pants to be a wise investment and plan to get years of use from them with reasonable care. Read more
I'm about 5 feet 4 inches and weigh roughly 160 lbs, a medium is my usual pant size and since this is in Asian size, I bought an X-Large. I am also more bottom-heavy and carry most of my weight in my thighs. So, the waist is slightly loose on me. I have a short torso, so the pant are pretty high-waisted on me. Not something I particularly like as it's unflattering. However, it is loose on my thigh and as you can see from the picture, it is meant to be a very loose type of pants. These would be great for the upcoming summer days. Also, we are approaching high 90 degrees here. Due to my weight, I do have a problem with thighs rubbing against each other and in turn the fabric rubbing itself. I found after trying it on and walking throughout the day there would be a bit of black fabric fluff that fall off. Not sure if it's a really big problem or if the integrity of the fabric will weaken from this. After the first wash, I did not get this problem again, so finger-crossed that I got my money's worth out of these pants. Fortunately, I bought these pants in black as when I put them up in the light you can see the material is see-through. Which I find is very common for linen. Obviously, the best part of these pants is the pockets! They are roomy. I can fit my hands in there, which means I can fit my wallets, keys, and phone with no problem. The con is that on the product's page, it said these pants are advertised as 70% linen and 30% cotton. However, the black pant I got have a tag that said it is 100% linen, so be warned if you wanted a cotton-linen mixed. Overall very solid pants and I have no regret about my purchase. Edit: Docked a star. So I've been wearing these pants 1-2 times a week for over 5 months now. I think my tights rubbing has caused some wear and tear. I noticed the fabric on the inner left side is getting exceedingly thin. After my last laundry load, I found a hole. The hole can fit my index and middle finger. However, since the pant is loose, I've been able to stitch the hole together. Or you can buy those iron-on patches. Just a warning for people with similar issues. Edit 2: Since this pant is 100% linen, it have a rough texture to the touch. I'm used to this with all of my other linen clothing, but I do find the fabric does soften after multiple washes. I've been wearing these pants for over a year. I do find the fabric is definitely thinning the longer I wash them, more holes have appeared, and mending has to be done. I've stopped wearing this outside the house as I'm worried one hard pull and the fabric could tear and a big accident will happen. For the price of when I got them ($36.99) it's not worth it. Especially since I've had pants that were cheaper and have held up for almost a decade. Read more
The first pair I bought was and LX, which actually turned out to be a 2x, second pair L, I wear a 14. Looks good until you put them on; legs are pegged, hips are huge, waist it super tight. If you have no hips, but or belly the cut will work for you. The material is one step up from gunny sack. I washed these 5 times, the last in nothing but fabric softener and they still are stiff, irritating to the skin and generally what you would think of china cheap. Read more
