I am happy with this purchase, which I made to apply 2 mL minoxidil solution to my scalp. I have no issues getting the liquid to dispense gradually, making it relatively easy to distribute it evenly across my scalp through my hair versus with the dropper that came with my Kirkland minoxidil. While I wish the tiny ML numbering was easier to see, the device works too well and is of too good quality relative to the price to take off a star. Note that this is NOT for storing liquid; it for dispensing liquid (2 ml in my case) that you put in with each use, then rinse it out. I do recommend this applicator. Read more

I ordered this applicator for applying a salicylic acid scalp serum. Since it’s designed for minoxidil, I wasn’t sure if it would work for other serums with different consistencies, so I tested it with water first. The applicator has tiny metal, spring-loaded balls at the tip that release the liquid when pressed. It dispenses a very small amount, but I found that pressing the top cap as well can slightly increase the flow. The instructions advise not to store liquid in it, which seemed inconvenient at first. However, while it adds an extra step to my routine, I’ve found it helpful for tracking how much product I use with each application. During my water test, I left water in the applicator overnight to see if it would leak. A tiny bit of liquid leaked into the bottom cap, but nothing spilled onto the counter. When I placed the applicator upside down on the counter, there were no leaks at all, though it did need to be balanced in a corner since the top cap isn’t flat. I won't be leaving product in it just to cut back on waste. When it comes to actual use, the applicator dispenses the serum in a controlled, conservative amount. I tried applying it in circular motions, but the points felt painful against my scalp. Oddly, it wasn’t uncomfortable when I ran the applicator in straight lines down my scalp. However, the last few drops of serum wouldn’t pass through the dispensing heads, so I had to open the top cap and pour the remainder directly onto my scalp. Overall, it works well for applying scalp serums but requires a bit more care and precision, especially when getting out every last drop. Read more
