I'm personally not a fan of this ugggly style of boot, but all the kids are wearing them and my teen wanted some as well. As imitations, these seem fine to my eye, but my kid complained that they looked "obviously fake." I can't speak to that, largely because I don't really care, and I'm hoping my daughter will wear them anyway. They're actually quite lightweight, warm and cozy, with a high platform while still feeling very sturdy. The faux suede looks pretty realistic, but it's probably not going to be great getting wet in the winter rain -- on the upside, that platform keeps the uppers safe from most puddles. I'm giving the boots 4 stars mainly because I see that there are comparable boots in the same price range ($49.99 as of this writing) made from actual suede, which is more likely to hold up to winter weather. These boots are surprisingly comfy and warm, especially for faux suede. I usually wear a women’s 11, and the size 10.5 actually fit perfectly—so I’d say they run a bit roomy in a good way. The shoe fits fine. I feel like it's not a lot of protection from snow getting in as short as they are. The soles are thick, adding a bit of height. That's kind of nice really. Wow, the platform on these is not fooling around! We normally wear an 8.5 and that's the size we got, the fit is great but from the outside they look comically oversized! The fleece inside is warm and cozy and they are so fun to wear with the extra height. These looks very similar to a popular designer brand at a fraction of the cost, great value.
