So soft. So colorful. Bought two more!
Let me read this review by sharing the background. We recently had a small flood in our basement studio and it completely ruined the carpet. The carpet is still there, but she is a hot mess — patchy hole-riddled and discolored (not from the flooding, by the way, but from me neurotically scrubbing and cutting away pieces if they even had a hint of water damage. Why am I like this?!) Since I plan to invite guests to the studio, I wanted to make my little recording area look a little more presentable. That would mean having to replace the carpet, which, honey, you know I can’t afford since all my money is spent on Amazon purchases. SO. I found this gem of a bathroom runner and the colors matched my motif nearly identically. So I thought, why not? If there’s ever a flood again, I know I can just wash this because it’s manufactured to be in wet areas! Purchased, and immediately wanted to fall asleep on it when I laid it down and felt how fluffy and smooth it was. My dogs have more or less have refused to get off it. I think it’s their home now. It’s so comfy. The runner length is amazing, and exactly half of the area I wanted to cover in my recording area. So after one I op spring for another and cover the whole area. I Do not regret it! So while I was splurging on bathroom mats for non-bathroom areas, I decided to go ahead and invest in one of these bad boys for an actual bathroom. It’s so bright and cheery. It just warms my soul every time I’m sitting on the pot with my little bare feet running through the soft tufts of yellow, gray, and white. Oh, and somehow, when I washed it, it came out even brighter and more soul-warming. My two runners, one mat, and two happy dogs have a long and satisfying life ahead of us, I think. Trust me when I tell you that I will most likely buy these mats again. The second I need to cover up another flood ruined carpet. I’m almost tempted to “accidentally” ruin some late-00s Mediterranean beige cookie-cutter-nightmare carpet in the bedroom that’s been mocking me ever since we moved into this house. I just need to figure out how to spill the bleach in exactly the right way so I can justify another 5x2-foot runner purchase! Guess I need to see if these come in sky blue! Read more
