This is the perfect dress for all occasions. It’s sexy enough to be worn to a cocktail party, but the conservative length and upper body coverage make it classy enough for a day in the office. I was conflicted about the right kind of dress to wear to an office holiday party with a “winter cocktail” dress code, and there is no better fit than this dress. It’s flattering enough that you will feel amazing, but it covers enough that you will still feel comfortable in a professional setting. The key hole at the top is not revealing at all if you do not have a large bust (and judging by the review photos, it will still look stunning if you do, but it will be more revealing.) I was worried that the keyhole would look silly without much going on underneath, but it just adds some flair to the neckline. It’s beautiful and totally appropriate. The length falls right at knee level for me. I think I would prefer it to hit about an inch higher above the knee, but it can be easily hemmed. The material is the best part of this dress. It has a crepe-like look and feel, but is still nice and stretchy. It’s not restrictive around your legs and thighs. It’s the perfect thickness, not so thick that you would get too warm, but not so thin as to be revealing or cheap feeling. The one con: I think an XS should be offered for this dress. This dress fits my measurements pretty well, but there are a few places that could be tighter. If you’re very slim, you might find the small to be too loose around the bust and waist. Read more

I am constantly trying to find attire that is both affordable and looks very nice. I hit the jackpot on the purchase of this dress. The quality is amazing (you can machine wash them or dry clean them) and the material is very soft to the touch. The fit was true to size (and I must purchase for my hips although my waist is small) and this dress is TRUE TO IMAGE!!! I actually bought this for a cosplay (Riddler frm Batman lol) I'm doing but definitely will be wearing this a lot!!! Normally I HATE trying to buy clothes online cuz rarely do they ever fit. Tis the reality of not being 5'5 & a size 4 or 6 I suppose as that seems to be the "ideal" many women's clothing retailers erroneously believe we all are, even in this day & age of "thicker is better". I was honestly expecting this dress to either not fit at all or fit weird in general but I ordered it anyway hoping I'd maybe get lucky & guess what??? By God it fit!!! It accentuates in all the right spots & lays on my body smoothly. The pencil cut is definitely a more fitted style but since the material has just enough stretch, it moves seasmlessly with your movements, so for me, that meant the arm holes aren't tight which is a problem I always run into with most clothes. Not too mention, the lightweight dressy material FEELS & looks a lot more expensive than what it actually is. If I absolutely had to "complain" abt something it'd be needing a padded bra (for me at least) for women who are small busted to help fill the chest area out better. Wearing a less padded one made the chest area loose but that's not really a fault of the dress & can be easily remedied. I also wore a shaper underneath just to smooth out my stomach area a bit more, but honestly, I'd still wear it without one, it looks that awesome!! For size comparison, I'm only 5'2 but weigh a lot, 170 lbs but the Large fit perfect. My waist is 33 inches but any larger than that you might need an XL just to make sure the fit is comfortable. OK, my huge concern when ordering the dress was it was going to be way too sexy for my job. I am an English professor at a university, and I wanted to keep it professional. Some of my (male) friends/colleagues looked at the photos of the dress on Amazon, and thought it would be too provocative. My female friends loved the dress, thinking it looked like something Michelle Obama would wear: smart and strong. So I ordered it with my fingers crossed. I ordered the wine and the black in two sizes, with and without sleeves. Happily, the dress is not that tight—I tried my regular size (M) and a size up to see if that made a difference, and it turns out the dress is thick and textured enough that you should order your regular size, or it gaps and looks more suggestive!—and the pleats hide everything you don’t want to show. I wore it with control top hose under boots (see pic) and that was good enough. I usually need spanx but the dress didn’t need it. I recommend wearing shoes with a bit of height—no Mary Janes or flats—because the length of the dress makes the lines more flattering. I have not yet tried to wash it, but I won’t put in in the dryer, because the stretch is perfect. This dress fit me nearly perfectly. I have a long torso, short legs and a very slim waist. I found the waist to be a tad loose but not in an unflattering way. The length was just below my knee but that’s usually the case for me since my legs are a bit short. The material drapes nicely. However it does have that obvious polyester look and feel.
