Easy, fast, secure mount! I've tried all the major brands, and this one is the best!
The media could not be loaded. I'm surprised how well this Mob mount works. I've tried Ram mounts, Shad mounts, and a few others, but I've settled on this one. The only downside I see is that your phone is not protected from the rain, unlike the Shad mounts, which enclose the phone inside a vinyl case to protect it from the elements. Since many phones are water resistant these days, that has become much less of an issue, and with my iPhone 10, I don't worry about the rain. The Mob mount is by far the most secure I've yet used. My Piaggio MP3 500 has a steel mounting plate in the middle of the handlebars, designed for hard-mounting a GPS or similar device. The Mob mount's really strong magnet mounts perfectly there, and it feels very secure. I recently used this mount on a 1000 mile trip, and never had any issue whatsoever. It's quick and easy to mount it (MUCH faster than zipping your phone into a Shad case), and easy to remove, as well. With its 3 point retainers, it's easy to leave your charging port exposed to hook up a charging cable, whether it's on the top or bottom of your phone. If it's on the wrong side, just rotate the Mob mount 180 degrees to mount your phone 'upside down', and voila!...your charging port is now available. I've never had the friction screw vibrate loose, even after riding hundreds of miles. This thing is solid as a rock! FYI, I did have my phone vibrate out of my old Ram X-mount a few years ago, before they started including the stretchy rubber retainer (which works pretty well, btw). The Ram mount is slower to mount your phone, is a little more prone to vibration and, in my experience, less secure than the Mob mount. I recently bought a 2nd Mob mount for my other bike, so obviously, I'd buy it again! You can see it in action with my iphone X in my video of a recent ride through Los Angeles. If you look on the left mirror stalk, you can see the base from my now-retired Ram X-mount. The Mob mount rules! Read more
