I bought this about 3 years ago and I still have the original rubber covers it came with they have held up and that a big deal I work at an iron foundry that why I bought this i have metal all around me so I wanted a strong magnet I could use to stick my phone anywere I needed to and not worry my phone will fall in multan iron and melt my phone into a puddle it has more then held up I've never had one time this magnet failed on me I'm going on 4 years with the same one it may seem like 30$ is alot for a magnet i thought so but for getting something that you can trust your 1000$ dollar phone's with and will last a life time is more then worth it it also make a great kick stand and it's great for Gaming taking pics it does it all best purchase I've ever made Read more

I had been talking to my friend about getting a Pop-Socket when they told me to get one of these instead. After further investigation, I realized that this is MUCH more than a Pop-Socket. I ended up buying one and have not found anything to complain about. The overall feel is very comfortable and fits in my hands like a normal pop-socket would (if not, better and I have big hands). It's not too heavy so it's easy to carry around. However, due to both sides being magnetic, you can just take it off and put it back on with ease. Not once have I been worried about the magnets dropping my phone. They're extremely strong for this little guy. This product does come with a mounting disc that you can put in your car so you can mount your phone on your dash. I've found that super useful, especially when using a nav app. The versatility grew for me when I realized that I can stick it to anything magnetic. Just yesterday while working in the garage I realized I could just smack my phone on my steel muscle rack beam while I watched a tutorial to put something together. I was getting ready to return it because my iPhone with its cover on would not stay in place using the magnet. I refused to take the cover off just to have the iPhone stay on this stand. Then I took one of the metal plates and stuck it to the back of the iPhone cover. Now it works beautifully. I'm very impressed with the product now. Read more

The magnet on both sides of the unit are the same strength. This means that when you pull your phone off 50% of the time the mount will come with your phone and 50% of the time it won’t. The magnets on the side that connects to the car lot to be stronger, so that when you pull your phone off amount will not come off with it. Read more
