It EASILY raises and lowers and locks. I assembled it in 20 minutes. The instructions were so easy to understand. The casters are quality with their locking and anti-lock mechanism. It has a place for your iPad or papers and a cupholder and a hook below it to hang things. I use the hook to organize my wires underneath.
