Purchased this along with some other powders and pens/ink, the gun is light and smaller than the similar style I’d originally purchased and exchanged for this one (described as “mini” but was massive comparative to this one, was also wrong color) And it does the job well. Only complaints would be the short cord, which I read from multiple reviews on similar product is a grievance for many. Thankfully, I have a lamp with two built in outlets on top of my desk, otherwise it wouldn’t reach from the outlet below. And the pen, was already dried out quite a bit, you can’t even see a remnant of what you’re writing as compared to a branded pen—the brush tip itself was oddly destroyed after one use, the fibers splitting apart and impossible to do hand lettering to begin with, thin vs thick lines not really manageable before it entirely smushed the tip (with hardly any pressure or effort). That being said, considering the guns equivalent to this one are all around this same price range, and you also get two of the most versatile powders and a pen to start with, it’s a great deal. Just got my today and this gun works great. The pen that came with it no so much, it seam bit dry. I will purchase better pen or pat for the stamps. I try it and it’s very quick and easy to used. The only down side it’s the cord it’s not that long but it’s ok I use an extension other than that it’s a great tool to start my new hobby. I’m very happy with it. Read more

I bought it initially, for an art project of melting crayon on canvas, which I've done quite a few times and it does the job perfect. Follow the directions and don't keep a constant use of more than 10-15 without a cool down period, because it will get too hot but if used correctly and not overheated, it's great. It heats up pretty quickly which i loved. i had it for about 6 months. Took gentle care of it till today. Slipped out of my hand while still connected to an outlet. It broke on impact. I should mention I have hardwood floors. Doesn’t turn on anymore and smells like burned wires. Its not like I slammed it on the ground or anything. It literally slipped from my hands. I gave it 3 stars because it broke like glass in the one and only time it fell. Read more
