I purchased four of these pads—one for the dog crate, one for the treadmill, and two for my exercise area. The pad under the dog crate has done a great job protecting the tile floor. The material feels sturdy and well-made, exactly what I was looking for. Although the size was slightly larger than the crate, it turned out to be a bonus, helping keep the surrounding area clean and dry. There is a slight rubber smell, but it’s mild and tolerable. Got this pad to put under my walking pad on oversold/squeaky/bouncy wooden floors, and it works amazing! Perfectly muffles the sound and more importantly the vibration when I'm working out intensely. This is exactly what I needed for my gym. After all the reviews I have watched online about how you need horse stall mats I still wasn't sold on the idea do to the smell and weight of them. This solved that problem. It's lighter weight since its smaller and not quite as thick. It had almost no smell and by the next day that smell was gone. It was easy to unroll and the next morning I removed the weight plates I had on it to keep it flat and that was all I had to do. I did not want to disassemble my half rack to put down a traditional floor mat and didn't have to since this fit right inside it. If I had a need for another one I would buy this product again.
