I grabbed this Molton Brown Rose Dunes Eau de Parfum thinking it'd be another heavy rose bomb, but it turned out way more intriguing with its spicy, desert-inspired twist that keeps it from feeling dated. Right off the spray, saffron and blackcurrant pop with a tart, golden warmth like sun-warmed berries mixed with a peppery kick from ginger and violet leaf, giving it an exotic edge without overwhelming the senses. The heart blooms into soft rose and geranium layered with lily of the valley and magnolia, plus a subtle raspberry sweetness that adds a juicy lift, while the base of patchouli, oud, leather, sandalwood, and vetiver settles into a smoky, earthy depth that's velvety smooth on the skin. It vaguely reminds me of Lancome Oud Bouquet in that lush, rosy bouquet that amps up the spicy saffron and woody oud for a duskier vibe. It has a luxurious, misty texture that dries down powdery and intimate, lasting a solid six to seven hours on me, though in dry air it benefits from layering with the matching shower gel. The unisex vibe makes it versatile for evenings out or cozy days, evoking pink dunes at sunset. The main drawback is it can lean a touch synthetic in the opening if you're sensitive to saffron, and the bottle's fancy round shape looks great but sprays a bit unevenly at first. In my ever going quest to find great rose fragrances I stumbled across this little beauty, rose is such a difficult note to make a modern scent with so how does this one stack up? Well I can happily say that I have found yet another fantastic fragrance that uses rose so well and so creatively it’s a real winner. This is a perfect blend of sandy dunes and middle eastern intrigue and beauty mixed with true English excellence and precision and it just works. One thing I will say, the opening is not good, there’s about 30 seconds of nanas old rose perfume that hits you (I feel this will Macerate away) and it’s slightly off putting HOWEVER after that initial 30 seconds this quickly settles into one of the best uses of this note I’ve found to date, it just needs to breathe, after which it turns into an almost powdery-ambery dream with hints of leather and tart raspberry. This is a tailored suit, it's travertine floors and jetliner views, this is luxurious and well kept. This isn’t a scent you buy at a high end clothing boutique its the scent the owner of the boutique is wearing. Performance is a match for its class, longevity is forever and sillage is big its all the qualities your mind expects when buying a fragrance. And with this travel size bottle it’s a perfect try before you buy product allowing anyone to get a taste for this level of luxury without the wallet weight loss, and it would make a great gift or stocking stuffer to boot. Overall I’m very pleased with this product and very very pleased to see such a beautiful execution of such a difficult but loved note and did I mention it’s unisex also!! This can easily and confidently be worn by anyone and it’s really versatile, wear this to the office or the club, day or night and it’s just going to work. Five stars. Read more

The fragrance has beautiful intensity and feels very high quality from the first spray. The rose note is rich and velvety, balanced well with spice and depth so it never feels too sweet. The scent has excellent longevity and stays noticeable throughout the day without needing frequent reapplication. It feels refined and luxurious, with strong material quality and great value for the money for a long lasting Eau de Parfum. Molton Brown’s Rose Dunes Eau de Parfum is a unique and a bit of a ride when smelling through it as it dries down. It's a fragrance more for older people not teens and one for colder weather. It gives off middle eastern vibe perfume. Now, this size is really small like smaller than regular travel sprays so be prepared for that. 🌅🌹 Scent Profile: The rose here is deep but not in a floral old lady way. At first spray I got something sweet and citrusy that started to transition to woody and as it dries down the rose comes through more with some oud. It's like an equal bland of rose and oud. 💐🔥 Performance & Longevity: This doesn't project but it does smell strong and sticks to my skin well. It last about 4 hours. Projection is light but if you put your nose up to it, then it comes off strong.⏳✨ Versatility: I can see this working for men or women but not of any age. This is definitely for the more elder sophisticated type. Not an easy blind buy. Must be into that somewhat oud scent. It's not sweet or fresh. 🌙 Final Verdict: It's not a bad fragrance but this is more on a sample size like use once and done because you will need to spray this all over yourself to get some strength out of it. This is not an easy blind buy or easy throw on. It definitely is for something when wanting to wear something unique for that special occasion. It's a deep oudy rose. It's pricey though and not sure worth it because I think you can find this from other middle eastern brands selling this same smell for cheaper. Read more
