I know a lot of people's concern with waterproof fabric is that it will be crinkly and uncomfortable and I can say this is not been an issue with this cover. it is soft and not crinkly at all and honestly feels like regular sheets. it's definitely waterproof and will keep anything from ruining the mattress beneath it. it also does a good job at holding the mattress topper that we have on our bed because I've had issues of those sliding off and it keeps everything nice and snug. its machine washable and dryable.
