I was pleased to find this for my garage—there is only one overhead fixture，and the existing light had burned out. This light has a much greater range which lights up the whole two-car garage. I tried the different options. The motion sensor option would work best for someone who might occasionally want the light to come on when unable to access the switch. It does—but it turns off again after about 30 seconds— unless it detects motion. I ended up leaving it in the traditional “on/off” mode for now，because otherwise I would have been constantly having to interrupt my limited activity of sorting and unpacking to flap my arms—or otherwise be more active. But I love how well it lights up the garage，and I might want to switch it to the motion detector system at some point later—I appreciate having that option！ It couldn‘t be any easier to install：you just screw it into the socket. I figured out which setting is which by trial and error as you can’t see which switch is which once it‘s in place. And because it is an LED system it should last for years. Read more

This is nice bright LED light for the garage. However, the motion detection did not work well. The product states 12 to 15 feet from the center of the light. I measured mine and it was more like 4 feet from center. If I was standing on the far side of a parked car, there was no amount of hand waving that would turn it on. This feels very cheap, as far as the quality of the plastic goes. It’s a hard plastic that would probably break easily if dropped. The lights go up and down ONLY, not sideways and they’re not twistable, so you’re limited on the ability to aim them. The lights are very bright. The motion detector works very well. UPDATE: The motion sensor doesn’t seem to be working as well after owning it for a short period of time. I’m not sure why. Read more
