So I have a GRANDSON who ALWAYS wears his helmet and gloves when he rides his electric scooter … well, ALMOST always. It just so happens that his previous pair of gloves had been torn up by another kid, so it was just before this pair of gloves arrived in the mail that he had an accident which resulted in a broken wrist and skinned palms, etc. I said all of that to explain that wearing gloves makes a difference. Ask my GRAND how he knows. SIGH __These gloves from this listing are well made and I appreciate that the knuckle section is well padded and has some sort of rigid moulding between the materials __The size I chose is: MEDIUM and they fit my eleven year old GRANDson perfectly. They also fit my hand comfortably with a little wiggle room left. I do have average sized hands for an adult female __There is a good amount of hook and loop tape at the wrist, though I do wish there was more loop than hook -meaning when the gloves are tightened at the wrist there is a long length of closure that winds up sticking out from the glove making it a bit awkward and kind of in the way. I hope that makes sense. See pics I am including in this review. My first impressions of these motorcycle gloves are that they are pretty thick and should provide an adequate amount of protection if you suffer a fall wearing these. The knuckle guards are what stick out the most to me, as they are very tough and rigid. I have the medium size and they fit my hands just fine. They allow a good balance of flexibility in movement, while not being overly loose. The velcro near the wrist is helpful in getting the best fit. The only thing I wish these gloves had was more grip on the forehand side that would provide more control when holding the handle bars. I even prefer a lot of forehand grip on regular bicycle gloves, so I'm puzzled as to why there isn't any on these gloves. Maybe it's perhaps if you do fall, you'd be less likely to break your wrist with a smoother surface on the glove, since you'll slide more, vs a grip might force you to stop more suddenly and break your wrist easier. All in all, I believe these gloves are a solid choice for motorcycle riding and probably would be overkill for regular bicycle riding, but it's still better to wear some gloves than no gloves at all. These gloves fit true to size. Inside they are lined with soft material and outside there is mesh as well as sturdy fabric with holes for ventilation. They will keep you warm in cooler weather but will keep you cool in warmer weather. The hard knuckles are sturdy and covered with PU leather. The fingertips allow you to use the phone easily. Found these as I was looking for some riding gloves for my new Class 3 E-Bike. Since this bikes go faster and are heavier, you’ll want to wear a bit more protection than a regular bike. These are made for motorcycle ridding, but you can’t go overkill on safety. The construction and stitching are nice. The extra padding would be helpful in an event of a crash. These leather motorcycle gloves are exactly what I need. The leather is soft, and I can move my hands easily while wearing the gloves. I appreciate the extra protection on the knuckles and the breathable mesh. The thumbs and index fingers on both gloves are also touchscreen compatible. I don't want to do a lot on my phone while wearing them, but it's nice to have the ability. The only thing I would like to change on these is the ability to tighten them on my wrists a bit more without having the strap flapping loose.
