I purchased this because I sit all day at my job and need to stand up and move more for my health. This unit is heavy, which makes it very sturdy. The only reason I gave sturdiness 4 stars is because when standing, there is some minor shaking of the monitor while typing. It's not completely solid like the desk is. In the lower position, the right side of the keyboard tray does not go all the way down. This probably contributes to the slight shake in the lower position. However, it's not a deal breaker at all. It's adjustable to my height. I don't have to put it all the way up if I don't want to. It's easy to put up and down, so there's no excuse for me not to use it. The depth of the unit is a little large for my small desk. The keyboard tray sticks out about two inches. Because of this, I put the little rubber feet on the back of the tray instead of the front. The width is perfect, giving me plenty of work space and room on the desk for accessories that don't need to be raised up. Read more

This desk is wonderful! It was incredibly easy to put together, very sturdy and goes up and down with ease. I could not be more pleased. I was so antsy and agitated with having to sit at my desk for 8+ hours a day and now can stand up anytime I want while continuing to work - which is a very refreshing feeling. I am 5'7 and it is the perfect height. Read more

I couldn’t be happier with the Mount-It! Height Adjustable Standing Desk Converter! Assembly was a breeze, and the dark walnut finish looks fantastic on my desk. It’s compact but has plenty of room for my monitor and laptop, plus a keyboard tray that makes typing comfortable. The gas spring mechanism works smoothly, allowing me to switch between sitting and standing effortlessly. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sleek, functional standing desk converter! Very heavy & well made. It was easy to assemble. It's easy to adjust up & down. The only issue for me is that it's depth is bigger than my desk so it sticks out a bit. I am still pleased with it Read more

Got this as a "portable" standing desk to use when I'm away from my home office. I have a sit- stand desk at home that I use every day, then I have to go to client offices for up to a week at a time as projects finalize/come to an end. I can't 'stand' sitting all day anymore. My clients are OK with me taking this in on day 1 of the final week and leaving it there until the project is over. It's not really portable, so I have a cart I haul it around on. But for as infrequently as I use it, it's worth the move. Very sturdy, and big enough to hold my laptop, SSD external drives, a 24" external monitor, keyboard, and trackball, plus some extra room for an energy drink or an iPad. All that weight on it means it's hefty to lift to the standing position, but the build is strong enough to take it, just depends on my back muscles. With just a laptop, it's easy. Would buy again. Took some help assembling but once put together very sturdy. I’ve had it for 1.5 years and it still works great. Even moved it from one job to another. Easy to move up to standing position and back down to sitting. Takes a little strength to lift it up but seamless once you get the hang of it, and I’m not strong in general. Read more

It works exactly as I need and I’ve been using it approximately a year. Doesn’t take up too much space. Looks nice with a wood grain texture and doesn’t stain or get water damage. But some faint scratches. Read more

Or should I say "In" standing. I have several levels of fusion in my cervical spine and need different working positions as to alleviate my nearly constant pain. I thought about buying a standing desk converter for many months, and finally took the plunge. After reading a bunch of reviews and in consideration of my decor, I opted for this one. It is extremely well built and was easy to put together. I still find myself having to look down at my keyboard, but I have an adjustable riser on the way that will solve that problem. One person said the keyboard fell off in their review. I don't see how that could happen unless you try to lift of move the desk by the keyboard platform or rest too heavily upon it. Read more
