So far so good. Went together very easily and instructions are easy to use. Wish the screws for the mount was black instead of silver, but that's a minor nit pick. Seems sturdy enough. Some improvements would be a pad for the clamp that tightens against the bottom of the desk and a solid base or cover instead of hollow on the bottom shell that sits on top of the desk. Adjustments are what I would expect at this price point and the value does seem nice. It helps save me room putting my Macbook on my desk and makes it easy to just turn and utilize it as needed. Easy to adjust the tension for the arm and I like the included adjustable side bars to make sure laptops are locked in. Moves around easily and the tilt is nice as well. Exactly what I was looking for without spending a lot for something that is overbuilt for my use case. I used this on the side of my Secretlabs Magnus Desk and had no issues with clearance. I did buy some 1/4" flat plastic shims to go under the mount so the base doesn't put indentions in the top of my desk mat. Read more

Works really well, haven't had it slip off my desk and my desk has a weird edge to it, so even without full contact it doesn't slip off. took a minute to get the tension right to have my laptop at the right height and angle but once i got it it has stayed. The strap does interfere with the track pad or keyboard since there isn't much space on the laptop face for the strap to go without touching something, but as long as you have a usb or wireless keyboard and mouse, you'll be mostly unaffected. This Laptop Arm Mount has definitely improved my desk setup. It’s sturdy, holds my secondary 15.6" laptop securely, and the adjustability makes it easy to get the height and angle I want. The only downside is the movement isn’t as smooth as I expected. It takes a bit of muscle to push it up and down, so adjusting on the fly isn’t effortless. I love this thing. As a mechanic, I have this bolted to my tool box. No more fumbling my laptop all over the place! You can use this in more than just an office desk like I do! I debated whether to buy this laptop holder. The 1-star reviews gave me reason to pause. Still, I thought, I could return it if it didn't meet expectations. I can report that this is a very good product. The materials are far more solid than I expected. I am a handy gal and had no problem assembling the components. The instructions are very visual. The arm adjustment was only a matter of a turn with the provided tool. My laptop is held securely in its current position (see photo). I consider my home office a place where incremental efficiency improvements are worth the investment. This laptop holder may just be the last addition I will need. Read more
Works great, well made, sturdy and fits my laptop well. I purchased to get my work laptop off my desk and since I use it only during work hours I can move it out of my way when off work hours. It was easy to assemble but trying to figure out how to lower the arm was a little hard. The gas spring required a lot of force to get it to release the tension but once we figured that out it was good to go! It can be adjusted in many positions. I'm using for laptop but it's nice that they include the mount option for a monitor as well, not only does it enhance the value but increases the longevity of usage since it can be used for two purposes if I no longer want to use for a laptop. I like the tray overall and it feels sturdy, but mine arrived crooked. My laptop tilts to one side unless I use a small wedge/shim to level it. Disappointing quality control. Read more
