Take it from an experienced pinball restorer, these are superior to the generic brand. Magic erasers used with isopropyl alcohol are the best way to remove dirt and stains from pinball playfields and cabinets. I cut the blocks into 1" squares, about 1/3" thick and use them with the alcohol to remove the years of accumulated dirt from the playfield and the brown-yellow stain on the cabinets. The generic/house brand of these is an inferior product and disintegrates much faster than the Mr. Clean brand. These erasers are also good for cleaning metal parts with or without alcohol depending on what kind and how much dirt is on the metal. These disintegrate as you use them so you need to clean up the white power residue left behind. Magic erasers are essentially super fine sandpaper. I've never used them for cleaning a bathroom, a scrubbing sponge and soap scum remover is a better way to clean tubs, showers and sinks. Read more
