Use brace for occasional discomfort at the wrist during prolonged laptop/mouse use. Discomfort usually goes away right after application. Works well for my right hand, but can be used for both. Have a skinny wrist and fits snugly. Able to adjust the tightness easily, and generally requires very little. The splint is great for support. The brace itself is made of quality material, feels comfortable for short uses. Usually can not wear it for longer then 30 mins; my hand starts to tingle and feels uncomfortable. Would probably fit most hand and wrist sizes, since the loop around the brace is adjustable. Decent value as well. Would buy another. Read more
I've used a few Mueller products for my back and legs, and have always been pleased with their performance and quality. This is no exception. It is very effective in immobilizing my wrist but still allows for finger movement/usage. The overall build quality is more than decent considering the price. The Velcro straps allow for proper positioning and a good fit regardless of your wrist size. I use it on my right hand, but the design is such that it can be used on either hand. It makes a big difference in allowing my wrist to heal after an injury. Very highly recommend. Read more
I bought this brace after falling off my bike and twisting my wrist. I had a lot of pain when rotating it, so I ordered this item to keep my wrist from bending or turning too far in any direction. It definitely made a difference in terms of reducing the pain and allowing the wrist to heal. However, the threads and fabric started to fray after about a week or two of daily use. Also, since I'm a photographer, I wore the brace during a photo shoot which lasted about 2 hours. By the time it was over, the brace had shown a great deal of wear and the metal splint inside was starting to wear through the vinyl. I'd recommend this only if you are planning to keep your hand fairly inactive while using. Definitely not for heavy use. Read more
My daughter works doing stock at a local big box store and her wrist started hurting from all of the lifting she was doing. We priced different wrist braces and this one seemed like it was too good to be true. It was less than half the price of similar products at the local pharmacy so I was a bit concerned about how well it would work and how well it would hold up. I was also worried about whether or not it would fit her, as she has very slender hands and wrists and a very small build. Surprisingly the brace fit her fine (it's adjustable) and it has given her the support she needs so she can stop taking ibuprofen every time she comes home from work.I definitely recommend this specific brace rather than paying more for a brand name brace that does the same thing. Best item for you fatigued "lonely guys" out there who have overdone it again. It's like giving your wrist a hug. Ok in all seriousness since I bought the thing here is a real review: It works. If you have beginning signs of carpal tunnel, or even if you just work hard like me (auto technician) and your wrists hurt sometimes, this is a great product. It will basically brace your wrist. I use it in bed. TO SLEEP YOU SICKO. It keeps your wrist braced so you don't sleep on it or bend it all weird, and lets the tendons relax. When mine start to hurt I use them for a few days and the pain just goes away. Doctors recommend this type of brace, and that's why I bought the thing after showing my doc this thing on my fancy "make you into a zombie walking into a manhole" phone. So just buy it. I have worked out in a gym all of my life and am still going strong (I'm now 69 years old), but over the years of lifting weights and allowing my wrists to bend backward when lifting, I have gotten to the point where I have considerable "wear-and-tear" pain in them. After years of stupidity and finally realizing that I was creating the pain myself, I tried to remember to keep my wrists straight when lifting or pushing, but on occasion would forget and cause the pain all over again. I saw the gloves on line and decided to try a pair. Now I won't work out without them. They keep my wrists straight without my having to think about it, and I wear them under my regular workout gloves. I have large hands, and they are a bit tight, but have enough elasticity in them that I don't have a problem. The only reason I rated them 4 stars instead of 5 is because after about a month of use in the gym, the ends of the metal support wore through the gloves at the palm and at the wrist. This is not really the fault of the glove, but was due to the knurling on the barbells and pressure I was putting on them. I sewed the ends closed again and sewed material (some old denim I had on hand) down the center of the glove, covering the metal from top to bottom, and they have been fine ever since. For just average gym use they're probably fine, but for heavy gym use, they need to be reinforced. The gloves have a thick pseudo-leather palm pad covering an aluminum insert which is curved to fit the palm of your hand. They have 2 velcro fasteners on the back of the hand and one strap that wraps completely around the wrist. They support the wrists very well and do not allow them to bend. I can see where they would probably be great for someone with carpal tunnel or anyone doing any kind of physical work that would bend the wrists. The thumb and fingers are not hindered, so it's probably possible to even type with them on. For normal everyday use for someone with wrist pain who need their wrists supported, I'd highly recommend them. Read more
