Bought the taller, two shelf ones for my mother for a Mother's Day gift. They came out so beautiful! They are about 4ft tall. The bottom shelf is big enough for a nice potted plant. Top shelf is good enough for a much smaller one, or gnomes like my mother decorated hers with. She put them together herself within 5 or so minutes. Very easy. The light up top is actually bright which is a surprise for being solar (sorry but a lot of solar products on here are just not as bright as depicted). It's lightweight, can be easily moved around. Bought these solar lights to help light up my shed in the back of my yard and these do the job! I have looked at MANY different solar lights to add light in my back yard and these ended up being the best choice. I like that the lights stand alone and you don't need a table to stand the light on like you would need with other lights. The stand is sturdy, and I like the stand at the bottom to help dress it up with your own decor. I do wish the lights were brighter, as these are more of a warm light, which is the reason I took a star off. They do work well, however, and stay on for a good amount of time. Also, just as a side note, the listing mentions it can hold plants up to 9 inches wide, but this is not the case. While the shelf may be 9 inches wide, the opening between the legs of the stand make it impossible to put a 9 inch planter there. You are lucky if you can even fit a 6 inch planter. Planters 4 inches wide is more realistic. The listing definitely needs to be updated to mention this, as you may be disappointed like me when you buy a plant that turns out to be too big to fit in between the legs of the stand. Read more
The set included two solar lights made of metal and 35 inches tall, each with three legs like a tripod and a plant holder near the bottom. The plant holder has holes where the poles would go through, so I didn’t have to use any tools to screw in the poles to create the legs. However, one of the legs was harder to screw and got stuck half way. I unscrewed and retried by holding the legs as straight together as possible. It worked but I still used a cloth for better grip to screw in. Aside from that, the installation was straightforward, and it only took me ten minutes to assemble. According to the manual, I had to switch a button in each solar light in the on position or else they would not charge the internal battery. I placed the solar lights on either side of my yard and put plant pots on the plant stands. The plant holders have a diameter of almost 10 inches. As the sun begins to set, the solar lights automatically turn on, illuminating the yard with a glow. The solar lights automatically turn off during the day and turn on at night, lasting up to 12 hours when fully charged. As I live in South Florida, I get more than enough sun light to charge them fully within seven hours or less. Since the day I have set them up in my yard three months ago, they faithfully turn on each night. Read more
A great gift for someone who has everything except a green thumb. This permits me to take my sister new plants as hostess gifts depending on the season. These are so cute and easy to put together. Will look great on my patio. The shelf needs to have something with some weight to it to keep the stand stable. I did have trouble with one of the legs. Each leg comes in 3 pieces and screws together to form on long piece. One of the short pieces seems to have been machined wrong and the threads are stripped. I have a message in to seller for a replacement for this one piece. I really don't want to send them back since they are exactly what I wanted. Will update when the seller responds. Read more
