Update: having issues with remote holding a charge but waiting to hear back from customer service This is hands down my most favorite item I've ever ordered from Amazon. I have been wanting to try and buy an LED face mask for years. The pure excitement I experienced upon opening this was like that of a child on Christmas morning. I researched this brand and everything has checked out. One of the most important things to consider before buying a mask is to make sure it's FDA compliant and this one definitely is! One of the first things you notice is the color of the mask itself! It's not the normal white and I actually prefer this gray color! The mask is made from silicone so it's lightweight, flexible and super easy to clean. Never use any product on it. Only wipe clean with a soft cloth and water. It comes with an extra head strap but I haven't needed to use it. It also comes with a draw string carrying case which is nice for on the go or when storing away. It's important that you only use this mask on clean skin. I like to use it post shower as part of my routine now. Clean skin is more receptive to the red light therapy. It's also imperative that you use a deep moisturizer after each session since red light can zap and dry out your skin. I have super sensitive skin so I was expecting a little redness after using it since my red light lamps usually tend to do that to me but I have had zero irritation with this mask in particular. My husband wears it too and we each do a cycle a day. It's recommened 3-5x per week and I'm opting for the "total glow" setting. The only downside I have noticed is that sometimes the mask lets light into my eyes if I don't get it strapped down tightly enough. My husband also mentioned he deals with the same issue. Once you get a feel for it, you'll get the fit just right. One of the things I love about this mask is being able to multi task when using it. The remote is super handy and easily fits into a pocket or clip onto your pants. It gives you a countdown so you know how much time is remaining during each session. I absolutely cannot wait to see my results after 4-6 weeks. I'm really hoping it can help with redness and the overall texture of my face. This mask is priced on the lower end for a quality infared light mask but nothing about it feels low end. Many masks I looked at were closer to $500. I think this is a phenomenal product at an even better price point. I would definitely recommend this mask for you and your friends and family! My daughter had mentioned a “Red light” wand to treat your skin and it sounded interesting. Seeing this mask, however, seems a lot more efficient. SETUP: This was super easy to set up. The mask itself has the back straps attached. The top one, you need to add. It's important to put the adjustment facing up, so you can adjust it, once it’s on. I did the reverse and then realized my mistake. You use the USB C to USB cable to charge the controller. It said 2-½ hours to fully charge. But ours was nearly charged out of the box. Once charged, then all you do is connect the controller to the mask (In place of the charging cable) and hold the on button. The mask turns on in Deep Repair mode. Pressing the M button changes this to Total Glow. Pressing again goes to Blemish Clear. Once you are in the mode you want, the timer counts down from 10 minutes and turns off after that automatically. This comes in a nice solid box that I would tend to re-use to store it. But you also have a nice silky bag to store it in as well. USAGE: To review success of use, is not something done quickly in a review so soon, but having used it, I found it super simple. The mask seems slightly warm after being on for a few minutes. It never gets uncomfortable. If you wear glasses, you need to take them off. As far as fit, you can see in the photo, that the eye area is open, so the effect on the sensitive eye areas is minimal. My assumption is that this light will tighten the skin overall and that will reduce sagging, but not specifically on sensitive eye tissues. The instructions emphasize concern for photo sensitive individuals including medications that make you photosensitive. So keep that in mind. Years ago when I had acne, they used light for acne reduction, likely the same method as the Blemish clear here. Some of the meds you might take for acne can also make you photo sensitive. Since I used a face lotion with a mild sun block, I usually wash my face before I use this mask, as it would defeat its purpose. After having used it, my skin feels a bit tighter.
