A lot of red light devices on Amazon do NOT include info on which wavelengths are covered by their light bulbs. I found that this device lists 635 nm wavelengths. Apparently this wavelength doesn't penetrate too deep but can still be good for helping with surface-level imperfections. It also mentions it has a higher irradiance of 22mW per square centimeter. I think this still sounds a little low but maybe for the eye area it's safer? Either way, I think this product does feel relatively comfortable and low-effort to wear while you're doing other tasks, so I still think it was worth trying! Read more

I like taking the seven minutes and relaxing. It’s like laying down in the sun with the red light. This will automatically shut off after seven minutes so you don’t need to set a timer. I’ve read all about the benefits of red light therapy so I’m excited to try it and see results for myself. The mask is adjustable and comfortable to wear. I have tried a few different brands of LED face masks, and I was excited for this eye mask as it seemed like it would be much more comfortable and is cordless. It did have a bit of a chemical smell to it, but not too strong and it did go away. It's super easy to put on and came charged and ready to go. However, it was incredibly bright the first time I tried it (even with my eyes tightly closed), so I turned it off and put on the optional silicone eye patches. Those weren't great as they were small and thin and barely stayed in place well. Plus, they seemed to make literally no difference. On many of the LED face masks I have, there is a silicone piece you can fit around the eye holes that gives more of a seal around the eye, and I find those to be far more effective than these "patches". Also, on this model you can't adjust the intensity level of light, set a timer, or use other colors besides red- all of which are common features on similar devices. If those features are not important to you, and you are eyes are not sensitive to light, this would be a good option. Otherwise, I'd suggest comparing a few different models before making an investment. Read more

MyHalos Under Eye Red Light Therapy Mask Advanced Red LED Light Mask is a silicon mask for the area around your eyes and features 40 double diode lights for a total of 80pcs. The exact wavelengths are 635nm Red light and 850nm Near-Infrared light with an irradiance of 22 mw/cm2. If you are familiar with Red Light Therapy or RLT, then you may already have your reasons for using this. Wearing it was comfortable and you can see through it, although not well with the lights on. It states in the directions that this isn't harmful to the eyes but they do give you little reusable silicon eye patches in case the light is distracting to you. For me, it was best to lay down and relax while using this. You are supposed to use it for 7 minutes at a time and each charge will give you several sessions before needing to be recharged. Speaking of charging, it says to charge for 70 minutes and make sure to disconnect after that so it doesn't overcharge. Since the battery is not replaceable, making sure you don't overcharge it is probably pretty important. It's annoying IMHO and can't really think of anything else I own that I need to monitor the charging time because it doesn't shut its itself off when charging. There is list of 'don't use if...' that I would think should be included on the listing page here before you buy it. There is a website listed on the packaging but couldn't find any information about this product on there. Since there is a list of 'don't use ifs...' in the directions, it's probably best to check with your healthcare or skincare professional before using it. I'm knocking it a star not because of the product itself per se, but because I have no idea whatsoever that this thing does anything and the company offers zero information on the validity of using this device in the pursuit of anything. This light therapy mask fit comfortably. It covers part of the forehead and leight to the middle of my cheeks. It's lightweight and doesn't press anywhere. I can actually get comfortable in it. It has an elastic strap and stays in place nicely without feeling too snug. The wireless feature and long battery life are definite pluses, making it easy to incorporate into my evening care routine without getting stuck to an outlet. Read more
