Nalgene Wide Mouth Water Bottle Blue 32 oz

I have tried so many water bottles, but none provide the durability, size, and convenience that these do. I love Nalgene bottles, mostly because they're large and simple. I can stick a straw in it and drink from that, or drink directly from the mouth of it -- heck I can even buy a little adapter that will keep it from spilling on me. It's also a very, very durable bottle. I bought this one to replace an old one that may or may not have had BPA in it. Not sure on the whole BPA debate, but figured I'd play it safe -- it also didn't hurt to buy my own and choose a color I liked as opposed to the pink (blech) one I inherited. My old pink one was dinged and scraped and beaten to pieces before I got it and it was still doing it's job, a testament to the durability of these products. My favorite color is Teal and I simply adore this color (trout green). So far, I've already dropped it a couple of times on hard asphalt and aside from a few dings and scratches, it's perfectly fine. One of my favorite aspects of these is how large they are. I have the 32 oz. and try to fill it with water and empty it twice a day. I carry it with me when I go to work/school and it keeps me hydrated while I'm away from home around questionable water sources (questionable only because I can taste differences in water and despise how city water tastes like dirt and algae). If you're on the fence about buying one, don't be. The quality is worth it, the size is worth it, the choice of colors is worth it, and being able to keep track of how much water you're consuming is worth it. I bought this water bottle because I needed to drink water more, and I knew to accomplish that, I needed something that could go with me to the office, to the deer stand, or even to outdoor work. This bottle does that flawlessly. It was recommended to me by Christian missionary friends who took theirs all around the world, and I am glad they did. I have had it for months now and its great. First off, it is way stronger than I expected. It has no flex to it if you squeeze it. And the labels don't come off for anything. They are as bright and clear as they were when I bought it. Second, the lid has never leaked despite the fact that I (literally) throw it around in my truck and it is constantly laying down sideways or even upside down in a bag. Third, it takes drops like a pro, even on concrete. It gets scuffs as expected, but not near bad enough to cause any leakage issues. It just bounces and keeps going. Last, the glow in the dark really works. I know that may be the kid in me talking, but its honestly really cool, and actually handy when trying to find it on the nightstand in the middle of the night for a drink. It doesn't produce reading light, but you could spot it instantly in the dark when camping or something. Any possible cons aren't really cons in my opinion. The first thing people complain about Nalgene bottles is that they don't insulate and keep its liquid hot/cold, but it isn't meant to. Honestly, I have come to appreciate it because it is easier for me to drink room temperature water than ice cold water. The only time this has ever been a problem for me is if you leave it in direct sunlight during summer or in a car, but this is user error, not the fault of the bottle. Second, people say it is not travel friendly because it does not fit in a cupholder, nor is it easy to drink out of while driving or walking. I cannot say I've found a way to fit it into a cupholder, but this can be solved by just throwing it in the floorboard or the seat, and IT IS POSSIBLE to drink while moving. It is just an art that has to be mastered and you obviously want to avoid hitting holes or turning while taking a drink.
