NEEWER 77 inch Camera Tripod Monopod for DSLR Phone with 360 Panoramic Ball Head 2 Axis Center Column

Looked at dozens of inexpensive tripods and took a chance on this one. I wanted something light yet strong enough to hold my Canon T1i DSLR with a heavy telephoto lens attached. I was really surprised by the build quality of this tripod at this price point - mid $30 range at the time of my purchase. It seems very well designed and made from quality materials. A lot of tripods in this price range rely on plastic in critical places. This tripod utilizes cast aluminum for the leg supports, gimbal mount, and gimbal. I was not expecting that. The leg clamps and gimbal knobs are plastic but seem to be of good quality. The legs have nice rubber cushions on them but do not have the option of metal spikes. The included phone mount is very sturdy and should fit most phones currently on the market. The gimbal mount accommodates the universal size of Arca-Swiss standard. I absolutely love this tripod. It’s hands down the best tripod I’ve owned outside of my Manfrotto — and honestly, this one might even be easier to use. It doesn’t feel like aluminum at all; it genuinely feels like carbon fiber. Super lightweight but extremely sturdy. The design is simple and intuitive with only about three knobs total, which makes setup fast and frustration-free. It does a full 360° rotation, extends very tall, and feels rock solid once locked in. It also comes with a phone holder, which is a huge bonus if you want to switch between a camera and an iPhone. There’s a built-in level, the quick-release plate is smooth and easy to use, and everything feels thoughtfully designed. The fact that this tripod costs under $60 is honestly wild. Great value tripod. I picked this up as I was heading for a trip out west and needed something easier to travel with. The ball head works well and easily comes off to pack away for the travel. It is lightweight and packs into a travel bag that I easily attached to my backpack. One design feature I really like is that one leg is removable to function as a monopod. This tripod was a HUGE upgrade from my old one, and seems like a way more expensive tripod than it was. It is extremely versatile and worked in a wide range of locations. The length is great and gave me all the angles I needed. It's incredibly sturdy while still being portable. This is a great tripod. It's strong, sturdy, and surprisingly light. What a difference from my aluminum tripod! I was able to carry it all day and when I strap it on the bottom of my backpack, it's light enough that i know it's there, but it isn't wearing me down with the weight. The legs are sturdy and a huge plus is the one leg that turns into a monopod. That leg is designed to attach a ball head of your choice as it has the standard screw. The only problem I have with this it the attachment plate to the ball heard. The Manfrotto system is a system that once you lock it in, you can hear the snap and know for sure that the camera isn't going anywhere. The Neewer's plate is a screw on and when I looked at the connection it looked very sketchy and I didn't have the confidence that the camera was locked in place. So I had to swap out the ball heads to the Manfrotto ball head to feel secure the camera was locked in. That is the only complaint I have with the tripod. Other than that, it's a solid purchase and I highly recommend this one. Especially if you're on a budget where these things can upwards of $400.00. Read more

I did a lot of research on which tripod to get for my Canon rebel T7. This tripod is amazing. It’s lightweight while still being heavy duty.
