This stand is a dream come true for anyone looking to level up their studio or on-location shoots. The build quality is excellent—sturdy but lightweight—making them easy to transport without sacrificing stability. For the price, this stand delivers exceptional value. It's a light stand. It's cheap. It's not going to hold up a big light and massive modifier at full height--but if you don't have a gigantic rig like that, this thing works great. I have a little Falcon Eyes SO-28TD LED light. This Neewer light stand is perfect for it. Just like the product description says--it extends to 6' has a good stable base, folds up nice and small--overall a great little stand. The only thing I wish it had was a carry case--but hey--it's small enough I can toss it in the trunk of my car and take it with me on a shoot--so no biggie. If you need a decent quality, inexpensive light stand--go with Neewer--you won't be disappointed. Read more

This is heavier and much more sturdy than most light stands. The tradeoff is weight so I would recommend this for fixed studios, but not for travel purposes *as light stands*. I have used these in place of C-Stands and am quite impresses with their sturdiness. For travel purposes, I'd consider traveling with these *as C-Stands*, and use them alongside lightweight light stands. There is a simple adapter (https://amzn.to/3MOB79H) that makes the top connecter like that of a C Stand that works great. I have used these stands with this connectors and Glide Gear Overhead Camera System (https://amzn.to/3MOB79H) with great success. I've really come to light these stands when extra studyness is required. Changing my 4 star review to a 5. Read more

First off, these are better than the price might suggest. And for two! Will they replace any of my heavy duty light stands or C-stands? No. To be sure, they are a little bit flimsy IMO…BUT at this price…they’re cheap & cheerful. I purchased them knowing that they were simple lightweight stands. So it’s all good. And purchased with ZERO intention of replacing any of my other stands. I got these to leave at a friend’s house to shoot products/jewelry that she occasionally sells…because it was easier than taking down some of my other stands and something that she could also set up on her own with the continuous lights that I also purchased. (And yeah, I’m not about to explain the ins & outs of strobes…let alone figure out how to trigger them with a phone.) Would I trust them with a heavy-ish mono light & softbox? Inside…they seem up to the task. Outside? Not unless they were heavily sandbagged. Even then, that might be asking a bit much. BUT, given the price, for indoor use…they’re fine. Especially if one doesn’t want, or can’t, shell out the big bucks for something considerably heavier AND significantly more expensive. Even then, a sandbag isn’t out of the question if one is using a larger softbox…or has dogs near the set. ;-) So why 4 stars instead of 5? They’re decent stands but I don’t think that they can stand up to the rigours required of truly professional stands out there. And wouldn’t want to mislead anyone into thinking that they’re the same. For occasional/home use, they’re great. For location work like what I do…they’ll stay at my friend’s house. Read more

Just bought this along with the Neewer Ring Light and together they really work so well. This stand is adjustable in so many ways and I find that it is super simple and easy to use. It is also very light weight, which makes it perfect for traveling! It stores up nicely by folding into a small, approx 2 feet long stick, which makes it ideal for traveling. The legs also fold in and have a lock to lock them in place. The only con is that due to its light weight, it is a bit flimsy when it is expanded to full length, but it is not super noticeable unless you purposely wiggle it, and I do not generally operate it at full height, so it work very well for my purposes!! Finally, a sturdy stand that is WELL worth the price. These aren't your average stand, they are steel, and heavy, but I no longer worry about putting my lights up 13' and swaying in the breeze. I have many stands from Manfrotto, Avenger, etc. I have C stands, drop spreader stands, regular light stands, but these are now my go-to. I shoot sports on location, in gyms, on fields, and wherever the teams are at. I load them up in a wagon so weight isn't generally my biggest concern, but stability is and these are the most stable I have found. They are also spring-loaded, so they wont crash down if let down quickly(still wouldn't recommend you do that). The friction knobs are plastic, and that's what usually breaks on my stands, but they seem to be well built, and hope if I do need replacements I can find them. 100% would recommend to anyone looking for a sturdy stand.
