These bulbs are fairly easy to use and work well. They work via remote and there are also touch settings on the bulb itself. I only gave it four stars because unlike other similar bulbs to be used for power outages, when screwed into a lamp or light socket, it does not charge. These bulbs have to physically be plugged in to a USB-C and charged in advance, which is a drawback as I know the technology exists to charge when powered on in a socket. Read more
My new house required a lamp without an accessible outlet and decide to try these. There are a lot of different versions of this type of product available. For less than $20 a two pack of these seemed like a reasonable option to try. They come with a remote, plastic covers for the base and two hooks that screw on for hanging in random locations when needed. The battery time works as advertised depending on how bright you set it. I just always have one charging and keep swapping them out. I ultimately only gave this 3 stars due to the brightness and issues with the remote. The brightness was okay, but left me looking for a brighter option. I have issues with the remote on a regular basis. I can put the remote right next to the light and try to turn it on or off repeatedly and it won't work. There is a manual button turn on and off or cycle through the 3 color shades, but it doesn't control brightness level. I purchased one of these with the hope of using as a nightlight in a lamp where I don’t have access to an electrical outlet. It works well, has great brightness options, and I love the remote. Unfortunately, it only stays lit for a few hours before needing to be recharged. I can definitely see these being perfect for power outages if you are one to plan ahead and keep them charged just in case. Probably not ideal for my purpose. Read more
