Compact, Stylish, and Makes Café-Quality Espresso at Home The Nespresso CitiZ by De’Longhi has been a pleasant surprise in my kitchen. It doesn’t take up much counter space, and the sleek design actually looks good next to my other appliances. What I appreciate most is the consistency—every cup comes out hot, rich, and with that signature layer of crema. The machine heats up quickly, so I can go from powering it on to sipping an espresso in under a minute, which is especially nice on busy mornings. The controls are simple: two buttons, one for espresso and one for lungo, which makes it almost impossible to mess up. I also like that the spent capsule container can hold quite a few pods before needing to be emptied, so I’m not constantly dealing with it. Cleanup overall is very easy, just a quick rinse of the drip tray and a wipe down. A couple of things to keep in mind: it’s designed for Nespresso OriginalLine capsules, so you’re somewhat tied to their system, though there are plenty of flavor options and even third-party compatible pods. It also makes espresso shots only—if you want milk drinks like cappuccinos or lattes, you’ll need a separate frother. Bottom line: This is a well-built, reliable machine that consistently produces excellent espresso with minimal fuss. If you want café-style coffee at home without the learning curve of a full espresso setup, the CitiZ is a fantastic choice. Read more

My last Jura automatic espresso machine just broke and I decided to try this De'Longhi Nespresso machine which was cheaper than repair to the Jura. What I like is that it takes up a small footprint, makes more coffee per water tank than my Jura, heats quickly and is much easier, faster and cleaner than the Jura. I like the original Nespresso capsules in that it's easier to find pods. I found Peet's at my local grocery store for 49 cents per pod which is a great price. Online, I can find Starbucks, Peets and Nespresso for about 70 cents per pod. I didn't realize that the frother base is attached to the Nespresso machine, but the footprint is still small. Frother works really well and it is very quiet. I start my frother and start the espresso and they are done in about the same amount of time. Clean up is really easy. It does drip a bit after brewing, so I keep an old mug on the drip tray. The pods leave no mess and the used pod container is really easy to clean. You do need to make sure the container is emptied. My kids made some coffee and left it full and I had to dig out the last pod from the top to pull out the pod container to empty it. I liked the taste of my Jura a little better, but the difference is pretty small and I'll take the Nespresso for ease of use, easy clean up and a quick brew. Read more

I've been using the Nespresso Citiz & Milk for a few weeks, and it has been an absolute game-changer. The sleek design adds a touch of elegance to my kitchen, and the convenience it offers is unmatched. The quality of the espresso it brews is consistently impressive, delivering rich and flavorful cups every time. Investing in the Nespresso Citiz has truly elevated my coffee experience. Its intuitive operation, quick brewing time, and variety of original style capsules make it an indispensable part of my day. The compact size doesn't compromise its performance, and the ease of maintenance is an added bonus. Although I wish the aeroccino was dishwasher friendly like the very latest model (4). If you're a coffee enthusiast looking for convenience without compromising on taste, the Nespresso Citiz is the way to go. It's a fantastic investment that I highly recommend. Read more

The media could not be loaded. This Nespresso coffee machine is a game changer! You can make quality coffee so fast and easy and the taste is on point. I saw my friends and she had a newer version with the larger pods but after doing some research I decided on going with this machine because the long term expense would be less because the original pods are much cheaper than the newer version ones are (the cost will definitely add up if you drink coffee regularly. Nespresso has a patent on the newer version so you can’t buy third party pods where you can with the original machines. You can also purchase tea pods to brew and also some metal cups with disposable sticky lid toppers so you can add your own ground coffee or tea leaves. The milk frother is fast and makes a great froth but hot and cold quick. This is definitely a luxury product. What I think could be better with this machine is that the temperature of the coffee it makes could be hotter. Read more

Extremely well made Nespresso machine. I’ve used several versions of these machines over the years, but this is the first one I’ve used that is solid, quality machine. Cranks out espresso quickly and simply. Push button to turn on, insert pod, pick single or double, shoots out espresso instantly. Highly recommended. Read more

When our Nespresso Latissima finally died after several years of serving us well, we bought a superautomatic espresso machine. I didn’t know it is not recommended to use dark beans in such a machine, and that is my coffee of choice. I tried several medium roasts across a wide price range but nothing came close to the heavenly flavor of my Nespresso pods. As my husband was very pleased with his fancy new machine, I decided to get this CitiZ machine and am so glad I did. Now I can make my own espresso or delicious lungo coffee so easily. Presently, we still froth my milk in the big machine, but I plan to get a separate frother eventually so we can both be making our coffees at the same time. I thoroughly recommend this machine, it does a great job, looks good, and doesn’t take up much space on the kitchen counter. All for a not too bad price. Read more
