I bought this for 2 reasons. My coffee area in my kitchen is too small for a whole big espresso machine with grinding packing and brewing. 2nd reason was the the Vertuo machines are too big AND dont have the variety of different Espresso roasters that the original Nespresso machines have. I adore Illy Classic and Illy Intenso, I love the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Bali Blue Mood pods. The Vertuo System isn't open to lots of other roasters pods. They have their own capsules and Starbucks and thats about it. I wish the tank held a bit more water, but other than that it's a nice machine that pulls regular and lungo shots well with lots of crema. Feels solid and fits in the coffee counter of my kitchen. Easy to set up and use. Read more

For many years I have confused Nespresso with Nescafe. I thought it was some sort of quality instant coffee. Then at Thanksgiving I had my first experience with a Nespresso coffee making machine. I love it! It's very easy to use and it makes, I think, some the best tasting espresso and coffee that I've ever had. It was very surprising to me. I bought this Essenza for the smaller footprint. It fits very neatly on my kitchen counter. It gets the job done and makes not only espresso (about 1.4 oz) but also what they call espresso lungo which is about 4 oz. I have been grinding my own beans and making pour-through coffees for ages BUT in comparison I really think this method is tastier, much faster, super convenient and I rather enjoy the sound the machine makes. About pods: This machine is what they are calling an "Old Line" machine. The new-line machines use differently shaped pods. The pods are not cross compatible. The new line pods are more expensive as there are fewer companies making and selling them. Whichever type you buy there are espresso pods and also what they call Lungo pods. Lungo pods are more coffee-like strength-wise. A neat trick I picked up is to push the espresso button to make an espresso and then when its done also push the lungo button to add another 4 ounces of hot water through the pod. It's a way to make an Americano (a watered-down espresso). It has so much more flavor than most cups of brewed coffee. Lungo is a different pod. Read more

The Nespresso Essenza Mini from De’Longhi is a compact and efficient coffee and espresso machine. Its sleek design is perfect for small spaces, and it delivers a consistently rich and flavorful brew. It is user-friendly, and the quick heat-up time ensures you get your coffee fix in no time. The variety of Nespresso pods available allows for a diverse coffee experience (but they are not that cheap). The water reservoir is on the smaller side, requiring frequent refills, and it might not be ideal for heavy coffee drinkers. Overall, the Essenza Mini is a reliable and stylish choice for those who prioritize convenience and quality in their coffee routine. Additionally, being a single-cup machine, it may not be the most efficient choice for serving a larger number of people. The machine is also limited to Nespresso pods, which might be a drawback for those who prefer using their own coffee grounds. Lastly, while the compact design is an advantage for small spaces, it could potentially limit the size of the cups or mugs you can use with the machine. It can be easily cleaned and requires periodic descaling (can be easily done with descaling products). From a design perspective, I rather prefer the Nespresso Essenza Mini Espresso Machine by Breville. Read more

I recently purchased the Nespresso Essenza Mini Espresso Machine, and I must say it has completely transformed my mornings! This compact little machine is a powerhouse when it comes to brewing the perfect cup of espresso. Its sleek design not only looks great on my countertop, but it's also incredibly easy to use. With just the touch of a button, I can have a delicious cup of espresso in no time. One of my favorite features of this machine is its versatility. It comes with a variety of coffee pods, allowing me to explore different flavors and find my personal favorites. The espresso it produces is rich, smooth, and full-bodied, just like the ones I used to enjoy at my favorite café. Plus, the speed at which it brews is impressive. Whether I'm rushing to get ready for work or enjoying a lazy weekend morning, the Nespresso Essenza Mini never fails to deliver a quick and satisfying caffeine fix. I also appreciate the convenience this machine offers. It's easy to clean and maintain, with a removable water tank and a used capsule container that holds up to six pods. This means less time spent on maintenance and more time enjoying my espresso. Additionally, the machine's energy-saving mode gives me peace of mind knowing that it's not consuming unnecessary power when I'm not using it. Overall, the Nespresso Essenza Mini Espresso Machine has exceeded my expectations in every way. Its compact size, ease of use, and exceptional espresso quality make it a top-notch addition to any coffee lover's kitchen. Trust me, once you try it, you won't be able to start your day without it!
