I’m a middle aged woman and everything is dry. Hair, skin, nails, and even my eyes. I stopped wearing my daily wear soft contact lenses five years ago because my eyes were so dry, and it made wearing them uncomfortable. I’ve been using artificial tears for several years and they do make my eyes feel more comfortable but I have to use them every couple of hours, so I was hoping these Nectra Manuka Honey Eye Drops would provide longer lasting relief. Before finding these drops on Amazon, I’d never heard of Manuka Honey eye drops. I’ve never seen it on store shelves so I was excited to try something new and different. The drops arrived in the manufacturer’s box that was sealed with shrink wrap, and they are tamper resistant because the first time I unscrewed the lid, I heard the click as the seal broke. If I am going to put something in my eyes, I want to feel confident that it is safe, so I appreciate the double layer of protection here. The clear plastic bottle is soft and easy to compress, even for arthritic fingers. The drops don’t have any smell to them and they appear to be as clear as water. I didn’t have any stinging or discomfort, but did notice a slight cooling sensation when they came in contact with my eyes. I thought it was refreshing and I often keep my artificial tears in the refrigerator for just such an effect. The 20ml (.68 fluid ounces) size is perfect for keeping my drops handy my pocket and should last me a few months so I think it is a pretty good value. I found the drops to be easy and comfortable to use, and felt that they did a good job of keeping my eyes lubricated for several hours at a time. One thing I really liked is that these drops didn’t blur my vision. Some of the thicker, more viscous drops I’ve used in the past make my vision blurry for a few minutes after using them, and these did not do that. I have severe dry eye, and using eye drops with manuka honey interested me, as honey has great healing properties. When I used the eye drops, they felt very hydrating and soothing, and there was no stinging or discomfort. These drops are not thick in consistency but extremely thin and nearly come tumbling out of the bottle when you try to apply the the product in your eyes. But I don't diss the drops because of that. I like the way they feel. The positive effects seemed to last a long time, and did the job of hydrating and lubricating the eyes. It said in the description that you can also use it while wearing contacts, so this will be a plus for contact wearers. If you have dry or irritated eyes, these drops would be worth a try to see how they make you feel. Read more

BUYER BEWARE: I ordered this for my 83 year-old aunt. It arrived damaged with half the product having leaked out. We are not comfortable putting something that has been compromised in our eyes. Also, it says no preservatives but the label lists preservatives. This is the first time I've encountered this, but we are not able to return or replace it (we wouldn't replace it) so just threw away $25. DO NOT ORDER. Read more
