New Balance Mens Rc Short 5

Finally found some excellent shorts for 5k, half marathons, etc. Lightweight and minimal with no hand pockets at sides. Rear size pocket is just big enough for keys and credit cards, which means it bounces around less. I'm 5'11" tall and 165lbs with a 31" waist and size medium is perfect. Waistband has soft material sewn on inside so its super comfortable, and its not overly large which seems to be a growing trend. Have a narrow waist but large legs, but proportions of shorts are good, with legs still loose enough to avoid any binding. ...tried REI Swiftland shorts, glamour sizing, size medium waist way too big, size small waist fits, but then the legs and butt of the short were too tight. Superlight material, which is good, but super large and heavy waistband. Mizuno shorts, no hand pockets, which is good and were super light, but glamour sized with size medium too large. Waistband material was abrasive and uncomfortable, so I didn't bother to try a large small, but I'd bet the legs would have been too tight. Read more

Amazing fit and doesn’t bunch up on the inside of the thighs when running. The fabric has the right amount of weight and stretch. The yellow short, the color is more subtle than in the picture. It’s more like a Dijon mustard color. But the blue one is as depicted. Read more

These are smaller than the previous New Balance running shorts. I had to replace my New Balance Impact Run running shorts and unfortunately these are notably smaller and more slim. The inner brief lining is smaller as well as the exterior shorts. I did a side by side comparison and these are smaller. Read more
