Buy it. It is pretty difficult to write a super exciting review about a bread slicer; you put your bread in, decide how thick you want your slices and slice. I can give this honest, yet boring review. This thing works great, saves me a ton of time, and gives me nice, even slices every time. Cleanup is super easy, price is great. If you make homemade bread and don’t want wonky, uneven slices or a crumb mountain to clean after you finish slicing, then you need this handy tool in your kitchen. Highly recommend! Read more

I make all of our bread from scratch and this bread slicer is wonderful. I’m left handed but the rest of my family is right handed and it’s crazy how weird our slices can turn out with opposite hands slicing bread at opposite angles. This slicer solved that issue and is able to give me consistent numbers of slices for each loaf. Read more

It is adjustable for the slice thickness, not the bread size/width. It works for breads baked in a loaf pan, but if you bake artisan-style sourdough, your bread won't fit. I took one of the sides off and tried to cut it, but it's hard because the bread keeps moving (the sides and the back prevent that), and then there's bread crumbs everywhere because it's moving and the little tray on the bottom doesn't catch the mess. Again, it works for home made sandwich bread, or loaves baked in a loaf pan. It looks well-made and it's very easy to store as the parts come apart if your concern is space. You need a bread knife that is long enough, though. Read more

I used it for the second time this morning, on a freshly machine baked loaf of white bread, which the family prefers. Setup was quick and easy; the “owner’s manual” (a series of sketches) wasn’t needed. I like that it holds the entire loaf and allows slicing without moving it, unlike my previous slicing guide that can handle only one slice at a time, which must be removed before the next cut. I also like the relatively thin width of slices, again unlike my old one with adjustable width, but thin slices were hard to handle individually without damaging them. This guide makes thin slicing easy. Although I have a heavy bread knife and a light one, both in like new condition, I get cleaner cuts without tearing with my trusty old Black & Decker electric knife. This loaf was sliced cleanly and in the bag in under two minutes. One thing I try to remember to write in any review, if I had it to do over again knowing what I know now, would I still buy it? Absolutely! Read more

Great Idea, But Falls Short in Execution I really wanted to love this upgraded bread slicer, especially with all the features like adjustable width, foldable design, and crumb tray. Unfortunately, while the concept is great, the actual performance didn’t meet my expectations. The material feels a bit flimsy, especially when slicing denser homemade bread or crusty loaves. It tends to wobble slightly, which makes it hard to get even slices—something this guide is supposed to help with. The adjustable width is a nice feature in theory, but it doesn’t always stay in place securely, leading to inconsistent slice sizes. The crumb tray is a thoughtful touch, but it’s shallow and doesn’t catch as much as I’d hoped, so cleanup is still a bit of a mess. It does fold up compactly, which is great for storage, but overall it’s just not as sturdy or reliable as I expected for regular use. If you occasionally slice soft, uniform loaves it might work okay, but for serious home bakers or crusty artisan breads, this slicer might not hold up to the task. A decent idea, but definitely room for improvement. Read more

This bread slicer is very practical for homemade loaves. The adjustable slicing guide helps create even, consistent slices, which makes a noticeable difference compared to cutting freehand. The instructions are simple and easy to follow. Assembly does not require tools, and the setup process is quick and straightforward. Once assembled, it feels stable during use. The structure feels sturdy and secure while slicing. It holds the bread in place without shifting, improving safety and accuracy. Despite being sturdy, it is lightweight enough to move around the kitchen comfortably. It folds for easier storage, which is convenient for smaller kitchens. The material appears durable and easy to clean after use. Overall, it offers good value for the price, especially for anyone who regularly bakes homemade bread and wants uniform slices every time. I wanted to give this a 4.5. The product works great. I have a loaf of bread sitting in the refrigerator right now. Things I liked. The bread box is easy and convenient. I can fit around two loafs in there. Plastic is easy to clean. All the parts fit together easily. Love the ability to place the guides at custom widths. The net bag for the bits and pieces is nice, I can toss it in a drawer and not worry about having to hun things down later. The padded feet really grip on our ceramic tile counters so that helps keep it all steady. Room for improvement. For the 2 lb loaf the bread rises just slightly above the plastic slots. So you really need to work on lining up your knife. The plastic base does get scratches from the knife. I bought a pretty descent 14 inch bread knife and it leaves scratches. You will get this on bamboo ones too. If it really bugs you I would recommend sanding them out every couple of months. Keep it clean and dry and you shouldn't really have any issues. Unless you buy a restaurant grade powered slicer, this will work just fine for 99% of us. Is it perfect, no. Does it do the job with a little care, and skill, yes. Cost to benefit ratio is high, so I will recommend this product. Read more
