TL/DR: These boots? Shockingly comfy once you figure out how to sheath/unsheath them like a pro. Hidden zipper had me feeling like Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally—all passion, confusion, and sudden revelation. Don’t panic, they’re built that way. Do it right and you’ll be strutting like Beyoncé on a surfboard. The only boots that double as footwear and a coming-of-age story. Let's Begin... I’ve been eagerly anticipating these fur boots like a kid waiting for Santa, and once you figure out how to work them Beyoncé-surfboard style, they become the sandy fur knee highs of your dreams. Shockingly comfy too, which feels almost illegal given the drama they serve. Story time: I may or may not have thrown out my back, under the gentle influence of a gummy (fine, Jessica, it was three), when these beauties arrived. For some reason, I expected salmon-colored fur, but mine were sand. Totally fine, because three gummies in, I was passionately caressing the faux fur like Meg Ryan in her When Harry Met Sally diner moment—searching, feeling, reaching… for the zipper. There it is. Gone again. Back. Elusive little minx. And then—plot twist—there’s something underneath?! If you’re getting flashbacks to your first unsheathing experience, whatever color wand that might’ve been, you’re not alone. Yes, the boot is built like that. No, you won’t break it. Yes, it looks and feels different underneath. Everyone OK? OK. Pro tip: top and bottom need equal attention for peak performance. They’re knee boots! They’re (faux) furry! They’re stilettos! They’re fabulous! You’ll love em. (Seriously, you’ll love em. These are some of my new favorite boots.) I own several pairs of Newbella boots and these are just as comfortable as the others. Look, they’re fashion boots, so don’t wear them on an all-day trek across Paris cobblestones. But for fashion boots they’re surprisingly comfortable. The heel is a high stiletto but is reasonably stable. I did add thin insoles to help with sole padding. The faux leather of the main boot is nice quality, and doesn’t have the shininess of cheap faux leather. But of course the main attraction is the gorgeous faux fur. These are NOT subtle boots. They look amazing with skinny jeans, or a short skirt. Or probably anything, to be honest, because they’re just so fit. Plus the price is great for what you’re getting. I wear a 7.5 and these fit true to size. Because of the faux fur, they are a bit more delicate than regular boots - I would avoid wearing them in the rain. I’m not sure how to clean them if they got muddy or dirty. (The bottom part could of course just be wiped down.) The soles are non-slip which is also nice. What are you waiting for? I love everything about these boots. They fit perfectly and force you to walk like you’re ‘that girl’ - it can’t be helped ! They look even better in person than they do in the pictures. Not gonna lie I was anxiously anticipating to receive these boots. I do personally hate a pointed tip, but with the fur that goes over, it doesn’t make your foot look over elongated. Which is why I do hate pointed shoes and add that extra 3 inches of foot to your look. The one thing that I did find amazing about these is that the fur actually rolls up and then you slide your foot in zip it up and you can roll the fur down to where you want it to be. The fur is super soft and fluffy. I wasn’t expecting that it came on matted without any imperfections, it did have a little shedding but not a lot. These shoes are pretty much true to size. I wear a 9 1/2 to 10. I believe I got these in a 10 and I have more than enough room to be able to wear with a sock. These shoes though are not thick calf approved if you have a thicker calf it’s not gonna go up I think I will have some issues if I choose to wear these with some skinny jeans just that little bit of material might make it a little too tight around my calf area so a skirt or a dress will be worn with these boots. But I am absolutely in love with these. I do wish I would’ve gotten the darker brown instead of the lighter so that it would go with way more things but all in all I’m definitely excited to wear these with my little mini dress. Read more
