This is my very first mechanical keyboard. I am very impressed. I still can't believe I got a metal keyboard, the base is metal, the keys have hot swappable keycaps and South facing LEDs. I'm very very happy with my purchase especially since it was like only $18 I think. I just wish it came more color options and I wish it came with a keycap puller. I examined the keyboard so that's why I know everything is hot flappable etc etc but I didn't want to try and pry off keycap without a puller since this is my first mechanical keyboard. I would highly recommend this to anybody looking for a decent mechanical keyboard. The keys feel substantial, they make a good sound, I wouldn't consider it "clacky" or "thocky" either. I didn't want a super loud clacky keyboard because I don't want people in the next room getting annoyed that I'm typing so loudly. But they're not annoying and they're not clacky or loud or sharp to the ears. It feels good as a whole also with the metal base. It feels substantial like it'll last forever. As my first mechanical keyboard, I don't want to spend $100 even though there were some beautiful mechanical keyboards on the market especially jelly or transparent ones. I figured this would be a good introduction to the world mechanical keyboards. I highly highly recommend this to anybody looking for a good mechanical keyboard that's completely customizable for $18? I also thought it was only solid lighting RGB. However you can adjust the lighting in the brightness from the keyboard along with the lighting pattern if you wanted to twinkle if you want it to shimmer or stay solid or to light up only when you touch a key. There's many different configurations for the rainbow lighting along with lighting that goes around the sides. The keyboard lights from two different areas, the keys themselves and a couple rows of lights on the sides of the keyboard. Both are customizable. You can't pick the color of LED light you want specifically they all shine rainbow, but you can customize the brightness how fast or slow they twinkle or flicker or you can turn off the lights completely. I also appreciate that the letters have lasered letters on them. A lot of keyboards on the market don't have backlit keys, mostly lights shining from the underside of the keys.. but this keyboard has laser etched caps, allowing you to see lights through the letter keys, perfect for being able to see what you're typing in the dark. There's so many little bells and whistles that come with this keyboard I'm so flabbergasted simply at the price. There's like over 30,000 mechanical keyboards on Amazon and half of them aren't backlit with the letters, aren't hot swappable.. I can go on and on about how good of a deal this is. But you just have to try it for yourself You will not be disappointed. You just have to ask yourself what are you looking for. Because this is a black keyboard that doesn't come in any other colors, and you can't change the color of the LED lights. You would have to be okay with RGB lighting. Besides that if you can live with those few cons, you will love this. Read more

Very nice, good weight, keys feel right and make a good clack. Personal opinion, keyboard rainbow colors are dumb, should be one color to look better, but no biggie. Of course, plugged in and worked while Win 11 was up. First keyboard I've had where the cable is entirely separate, USB-C, included. Read more

Super happy with my new mechanical keyboard! The build feels solid and premium with zero flex. It’s a great mix of satisfying typing and a quiet-enough sound for the office. The RGB lighting is bright and easy to tweak with the software. Packaging was careful and it arrived sooner than I expected. This keyboard has made daily typing and gaming a lot more enjoyable—worth every penny. A solid 5-star experience! Read more

Fantastic keyboard for the price! Functions like a dream and save the led lighting inherent in all consumer electronics these days, especially when marketed at "gamers", it works like a charm! I have basic nitpicks - though I don't like the lighting, I would like it more if I could adjust the color and perhaps turn it off on the sides of the keyboard (you can slow it down and so on but you can't shut them off for some reason), but considering the price and the fact I personally don't find it too distracting or obnoxious, I can't really dock it points for that. You can change how the lights strobe and turn the back lighting off at least, good enough for me. All in all, a great keyboard worth every penny! Read more

THE GOOD: * Typing experience and tactile feel are good. * Size and spacing of keys is standard and good. THE BAD: * The default keyboard setting has a disco-like rotating rainbow color through the keyboard, with many of the keys dark at any given moment. * No manual came with the keyboard, meaning it's hard to know how to adjust anything. * In order to adjust anything, I had to go to the Newmen website where there is a .rar file to download. This contains an .exe file, which runs an app, which controls the keyboard. * There are various options ("waterfall" and the like) that provide various disco-like experiences on the keyboard, but none of these allow for a plain white backlight--the only color palette is rainbow. One option is to turn the backlight off. Read more

I was thinking a keyboard this cheap would stink a little more to type on, but really, this thing is nice. Now, it's not the kind of experience that blows your socks off, and the build quality is clearly pretty cheap, but still, for what I thought I was getting, it is actually great to type on. My one complaint is that I haven't figured out how to fully turn off the RGB. At this point I'm fearing you can't. It glows in the room while I'm trying to sleep... So if that would bother you, that's the one thing I have against it. But besides that, superb keyboard for the money. Read more

This is the best keyboard for the money. The feel to this thing rivals keyboards costing 3-4 times as much. I have a Roccat that would skip a key and constantly require updates. This Newmen keyboard is simple and plug and play. It is metal and it feels great. Read more

Absolutely love this keyboard! The keys feel smooth and responsive, and the typing experience is super satisfying without being too loud. The build quality is solid, the RGB lighting looks amazing, and setup was effortless. I’ve typed on a lot of keyboards, but this one instantly became my favorite. If you’re thinking about upgrading, this is 100% worth it! Read more
