Best mug ever. Now a year old and I drink several cups of coffee per day and it still keeps it hot. The highest temp is really hot so I tend to use the mid level setting. Hot but not scorching. My husband had the next smaller size as he only drinks coffee in the am. He has now taken this one as he can use the largest coffee fill setting on his kerig coffee maker. I have traded up to the 24 oz size. These mugs are pricey but I have bought them on Black Friday. Well worth it. Read more

So far I give this a 5-star review, however, time will determine whether the coating holds up better than Ember. I like the larger 18 oz size of this mug, and the feel of the coating. I defected from Ember mugs as their coatings do not hold up over time. Considering the cost of these mugs, I want it to last more than a year and not worry about the coating material seeping into my coffee or tea--not to mention it just looks gross. What I like better than Ember: 1) Nextmug is a manual operation with simple on-off and temp buttons on the base of the mug. It can be set to one of three temperatures (At first I was setting it to the highest temp, but found that the second one is better for me for an easily drinkable temperature.) 2) I also like being able to turn it off when I finish the cup to prevent the congealing of remnants on the bottom of the cup like happens often with the Ember mug (yuck), and that it doesn't drain bandwidth from my wireless network. 3) Also I found that Ember mugs would not heat the liquid back up if it had cooled down (this happens if you have the mug off the charging coaster for too long or leave it sitting for too long). The Nextmug also has an auto shut-off, but it will heat the drink back up if you reset the temperature. 4) I like that they include the lid with your purchase. This helps keep the drink hot longer, which preserves battery life. Tips: 1) I don't use a metal spoon and keep a plastic spoon (you know, one of those heavier duty ones you get from the froyo stores?) by the coffee pot to stir sweetener or creamer with these mugs, just to prevent unnecessary scratching (as I did with Ember), and only hand wash as per instructions from the manufacturer. 2) I have also purchased two additional charging coasters so I can have one by my living room chair and by my desk where I spend the most time, and one in the kitchen for overnight charging. All I can say is if the coating material doesn't degrade like the Ember mugs have (I've seen this happen on the three different Ember mugs we've owned as well as several my daughter and husband have purchased), it will hands down be my preference and recommended self-heating mug option. I will update my review if I see the coating begin to degrade, but I purchased this in Nov. 2024 and so far so good. Read more

I recently started drinking herbal tea every night to help aid digestion and sleep. This cup makes it so enjoyable! I’m able to cozy up, read my fav book, watch my fav shows, all while sipping on a cup of tea that never turns cold. The 16 oz was the perfect size for me bc I want to enjoy a big cup of tea. The matte material feels great, and it being stainless steel makes it feel sturdy/good quality. I love that come comes with a charger that looks like a coaster. Got an extra one to keep at my desk to enjoy coffee as well. It’s has 3 modes - Warm, hot and piping. I personally never had to go beyond warm. It auto shuts off when there’s no more liquids as well. It’s truly is a great product/design. Nothing fancy, and is exactly what I needed. Read more

The wife speaking. I absolutely love this self-heating coffee mug!!! my husband used to make fun of me because I would never finish my coffee before it got cold and now it doesn't get cold any more. I love there is NO APP with this mug!! one button and super simple. I have the 18oz mug. I really like this mug came with lid and that I did not have to buy it separately. I will be recommending this mug to friends and family in a heart beat!! Read more

I got this Nextmug Plus for my wife and I haven’t seen her drinking her morning coffee in anything else just yet. It works as stated. Keeps hot drinks hot and warms up as well. Just be aware that warming up drinks really drains the battery. Cleaning is easy. Really happy with the purchase! The battery could last longer, but it does indeed last for the durations stated, for atleast the following week after starting to use it. Expensive, but worth it to those in the world who like to enjoy their drinks slooooooowlyyyyy throughout the day Read more

My kids got me one and I ended up buying another for my husband because I loved it so much. We are both coffeeholics and drink coffee all day long. It's so nice not to ever have cold coffee. I love that there are 3 settings to pick my preference. Warning the "piping" hot setting isn't joking. It's hot and I rarely use that setting unless I turned it off and want to reheat the coffee in the mug. It's so nice that it has the 3 temps and it's not like the cheap brands that keep it on piping hot without any type of regulating the heat. Highly recommend. Read more

Very pleased with the quality and thankful I got the 18 oz. By way of comparison I like that the optionality isn’t dependent on WiFi or an app like Ember; you can change the temp on device. Read more
