This has become my go-to massager to help relieve the pain/pressure in my neck I get due to needing consistent bedrest throughout the day. I have to turn my head to see the screen while in bed, and that combined with the fact that I have some pretty decent nerve compression in my C-spine makes for a pretty uncomfortable experience. I've tried the standard massage guns in the past but they never really worked for me, that punching motion just isn't great, and they tend to come across a bit weak as well. With this percussive style of massager, however, it works wonders on that tight painful neck. I just grab it out of the convenient storage box every now and again and run it across my neck and shoulders for 5-10 minutes, and when I'm done, the pain in my neck has completely subsided. It comes with several sides, I find the flat metal one or the flat silicone one to be the most effective. The round metal knob that the balls go on can be good for getting into a particularly tense deep spot, but otherwise, I don't really like it as much with the balls on. Now, I will say that it doesn't work super well on my lower back, but I do have a pretty significantly injured lower back, so I think that it's just a bit too much power to be using over that. Don't get me wrong, I love how powerful it is for my neck, and even on the highest setting I don't really get any sort of hand numbness/fatigue or head rattling that I saw other reviews mention (unless I like...press it into my spine or the base of my skull with pretty significant force), so your mileage my vary on that. It is also pretty loud, but that's to be expected. I tend to use it on the third power setting for my neck/shoulders and that works well. It also packs a lot of power for its relatively small size, an impressive amount at that, and it's super easy to just pull out of the packaging, use it for a bit until you're loosened up, and then zip it right back up. It's effective in a way that other massagers that I have simply can't be as it vibrates very rapidly, 2x the RPM at 1/3 the amplitude approx. and in more than one direction. When turned on, it definitely has a rumble to it which you can feel in your hand to a lesser degree. When using it, I just let it glide across my skin with very little pressure and let the massager do the work. If you do apply too much pressure, it'll complain as it's not meant to be used that way. I've used this along the neck and shoulder muscles with the flat head and along the side of the neck and under the jaw with the rubber head with no issues. It has certainly helped to relieve sore muscles by going over the area for a short time. Recently I had some ulnar nerve pain pop up again, and I used flat and/or bullet head to go over the muscles on either side. Then I switched to the softer head in and around the elbow directly using minimal pressure while paying attention to the nerve sensations so I could pinpoint the area and work it gently, very gently. It reduced the overall discomfort quite a bit. The unit itself is very well built and has some heft to it. It has very good battery life as I've not had any issues with it running low between uses. It has a lot of power for its small in size and it comes in a nice storage case for keeping everything together and organized. Now while It mentions no bouncing, if you happen to run across a bone, it is still possible that it will bounce if using one of the metal heads. So I would still use caution when using the metal heads around bone. Read more
