And one night, you're watching TV, bored out of your head and maybe a half bottle of pinot in and you remember you have them and think "I wonder if they'd even stay", and you get them out and maybe you're having a little trouble and you realize an old "Blue Bloods" repeat isn't really doing anything for you, Tom Selleck be damned, so while you keep the TV on, you pop open your laptop and maybe watch... something else. You find something a little more to your liking and oh, look - they've got something to grab onto now, and you thought they might hurt and they do - a little bit. But not in a bad way. He's shocked - he's never seen you like this, and you're concerned that maybe you've made a mistake, but when you look past his shocked face and look a little... lower, you realize that this was not a mistake. No, this is something that's going to be encouraged in the future, and this introduction - this few bucks that you spent as a "joke" - is going to lead to a lot more adventurous nights (and days?) in the future. The jump ring connecting one clamp the chain, opened up while I was pulling the clamps out of the little plastic bag. Easy enough to fix, but the jump rings are cut using cutters and not a saw so the edges are mashed down, and the hole in the end of the clamp is too close to the end and allow for them to pull apart easily. I got these to sort of freak out the squares by using them to hold the curtain closed for my video conference calls. But they didn't notice, of if they noticed no body wanted to say anything that would out themselves... Anyway, more about the clamps They are standard fair clamps with rubber covers over the clamping bit and a screw to adjust the level of pressure. These do not have teeth or serrations under the rubber covers. An upside, the adjusting screw has nice fine thread pitch, so you can make small adjustments Be warned, if you have never used this type of device before, they can turn or flop over in your hand and inflict a lot more pain that you intended to have inflicted.
