NIU KQi3 Pro Electric Scooter Portable Adult Scooter 31 Miles Range 20mph Max Speed Renewed

Took me 2 scooters to get a good one. Just as a reminder this review is for "Renewed By Amazon" ones. But the first one came in just a brown box and wasn't packed very well and so the bell was damaged and then once I started riding it the front brake was clicking, the bell didn't work at all, and the motor had a whining sound. When I linked it to the app it had over 84 miles on it. Which obviously that isn't even that many but to me I just wanted something that was more like new. So I requested a new one be shipped. They declined until I shipped the old one back but the box had sat out in the rain and got damaged and I didn't have another box so it would be easier for me to get another one and I can use the box the other one came in to ship the defective one back. But they kept refusing, then I just did "Return/Replacement" within Amazon and it seems that Amazon took care of it and had a new one shipped and I returned the other one in the box. The new one is much better. Box was like brand new. Scooter was very well packed. Everything was perfect until I tried to add it to the app. It said it was linked to another app. So I had to contact NIU Customer service and they needed proof of purchase which I had from Amazon and I sent it to them and within 24 hours I was able to add the scooter to the app. I'm 5'10" and the scooter is perfect size for me and the motor is plenty torquey even on inclines. We have the sport version as well and that one isn't quite as strong but this one is great. We live in a hilly community. But it works great. The handlebar width is perfect as well. As I said, so far so good. The box it came in was in good condition, the scooter was nearly pristine to the eye, and the charger and screws were present. The torque feels very powerful, and it feels pretty fast (20mph at 40% battery). All in all, it all seems to be working for now. Will update if it stops working. Read more

The money you saved DOES NOT pay off. Put it upfront, the only satisfactory part of this purchase is that specs of the scooter fit what are advertised. Everything else is the worst nightmare. First off is the shipping, foams and box are damaged. The clipper is broken making the neck VERY wabbly and quite not safe to ride on. The customer services from both NIU and Amazon are throwing me back and forth, just not fixing the issue. Overall very disappointed with how I was been treated in the past two weeks. Read more

This scooter was supposedly refurbished. The rubber platform was coming unglued and there were many scratches and the bottom of the scooter was badly scraped up. For $400 I expected more. Should have bought new. Read more

I was a little conflicted, buying this scooter because the reviews were mid if not bad, but it was half the price for a refurbished excellent then it was to buy a brand new from niu. Box came in rough shape, but for being shipped ups what can you expect. It came package nicely inside with all the styrofoam, and even the plastic covering the reflectors aswell as the all the equipment needed. The scooter itself was in excellent condition and I was able to pair it very easily through the app, it was as if it was brand new. The scooter itself has a solid build quality. I was able to get the speed up to a solid 15 mph, 20 going downhill but I am a bigger guy weighing 210 pounds and I tested at 50% battery. The only reason I take off a star is because the scooter is making a scraping noise near the brake but its not horrible and comes in spurts. I’m thinking it’s the rotors scraping the brake pads but for half the price of a new one and it came in excellent condition. I can’t really complain and I might be able to fix it myself with a little bit of work, I could probably send it in for a new one but I dont want to go through the hassle and I feel like I got lucky with my scooter, after reading all the other reviews. The scooter arrived in a beat up box, which is normally fine, but it was absolutely a sign of bad things. The package was missing 4 screws that hold the handle in place, making it completely undrivable without them. It also didn't come with a charger. I was so excited, dude. This blows. Read more
