This is probably the most comfortable mouth tape I've had and I can open my mouth and break the seal easily though this won't happen naturally. It will hold strong without effort as I sleep. Also, the strips are scored so little strips can be broken off that are good enough for the job. I almost always got to get up at least once in the night to get a drink among other things. I generally can take this tape off and put it back on and it usually still has enough adhesion. So if it is budgeted right, the length should last about 2 months. Some people find this useful to reduce snoring and some are disappointed that it doesn't work so well to that end. That is not the primary benefit of mouth taping for sleep. Mouth taping eliminates mouth breathing at night and forces nasal breathing. The primary benefit of nasal breathing is the increase of nitric oxide production which expands the blood vessels which increases oxygenation and nourishment of everything in the body. I've noticed a huge difference in quality of sleep since mouth taping. Even when I've torn the tape off in the middle of the night and didn't replace it, I felt more rested in the morning. If you have obstructive issues in breathing, a deviated septum, and/or snoring, this might be risky for you and you should not proceed without discussing it with your doctor. Otherwise, I highly recommend this, it will be a great benefit to your quality of sleep and overall health. It does not seem the best quantity for the dollar for mouth tapes. There is at least one other brand out there that sells 90 pieces of mouth tape which can potentially last 90 nights. Those are not silicone though but micropore white tape. They are not as comfortable but much better than the heavily advertised "Hostage Tape" of social media adds which hurt when torn off. I will be looking at a 3 pack of 5 yards of silicone medical tape perforated at one inch for double the price also sold on this site. That should be above and beyond multiples of quantity for the same unit price for larger pieces of tape. It'd be better with a tighter perforations to allow smaller sizes and would last even longer, but that is worth looking into which I am doing next. Nevertheless, thus far, this brand here has been the best for me and I would highly recommend it for now. Read more
I love this tape! Stays put but gentle. Removes so easily. I use just 3 segments (1-1/8") and it keeps my mouth shut all night... 51 nights! If you use 4 segments (1-1/2") it's still going to last 5 weeks. Great product and value for the money. Read more
If you drool a lot (like me, apparently, unbeknownst to me) it unsticks but it's easy to press back on. Otherwise, she's perfect! Read more
My experience with Niveus GentleStrips has been extremely disappointing, to say the least. These strips not only failed to work but also proved to be unreliable and frustrating. First and foremost, the main issue with these strips was their inability to stay in place. They constantly slipped off my skin, making it nearly impossible to keep them on long enough for any potential effect to occur. It was an incredibly frustrating experience, and I had to constantly readjust them, which was both time-consuming and annoying. Even when I managed to keep the strips on for a reasonable duration, I saw no noticeable improvement in teeth sensitivity. The product claims to be "Dentist Developed" and "FSA/HSA Approved," but in reality, it simply did not deliver the promised results. Given the lack of effectiveness and the inconvenience caused by the constant falling off of the strips, I decided to switch back to my previous teeth sensitivity product, which had consistently provided better results and a hassle-free application. In conclusion, Niveus GentleStrips proved to be an ineffective and unreliable solution for teeth sensitivity. Their constant tendency to fall off made them practically unusable, and the lack of any noticeable improvement in sensitivity was a major disappointment. I would strongly advise against using this product and, unfortunately, can only give it a 1-star rating based on my frustrating experience. Read more
I bought this not really thinking it would work but I was so tired of waking up with dry mouth I thought I’d give it a try. For the first time in many years I slept all night breathing through my nose and no dry mouth this morning. I used one perforated strip across the middle of my mouth. It isn’t uncomfortable and it does come off easily in the morning. Read more
I bought this tape to help my mouth stay closed while using my CPAP machine. I was looking for something gentle, easy to remove and that wouldn't leave residue on my face. It does check all those boxes. However, with the air pressure of my CPAP machine, it just doesn't stay stuck in place (my pressure isn't all that high: I'm just at 7.5 inhale pressure). I had mouth leaks all night long from the tape coming loose and was awakened many times to try to stick the tape back in place. I think, if you don't use a CPAP machine and just want to keep your mouth closed to improve breathing through your nose and snoring, it "may" work for you. But I can't recommend it all for CPAP use . . . and it's quite EXPENSIVE. Read more
These work without leaving any residue or causing itching. I have sensitive skin and often tape from bandages make me break out in a rash. I was happy to find that this doesn’t irritate my skin at all. Also, I tried some other mouth strips which worked okay, but this tape works too and is more economical. Read more
White it seems to work well at not irritating my skin when using it for mouth tape, it does not hold very well throughout the night like KT tape. Give it a try but don't be disappointed if it does not work for you. Read more
