Great jacket. A good facsimile of the original issue MA-1. I still have my original MA-1 from the 70's and compares well. During the 70's their were two issue versions... A lightweight and heavy weight version. This one seems to be in between both. As for fit, it does fit a little on the snug side; however, it still works for me. The exact look I was going for. Classic. I bought the winter down. I'm a stocky 5'8" most jackets don't fit me quite well. Medium fit perfectly. Don't be alarmed with the initial puffiness. It will break in nicely. So silky it can be used as a pillow. The color is excellent. It's warm and very comfortable. Only draw back is that it did split at a seam. Be careful to hand wash and maybe dry separately. Not a work jacket per say. I will buy another because I like it so much. Read more
Recieved the jacket and expected it to be light weight or cheap material but it was the exact opposite! Came with solid Brass Zippers, solid stitching and was the perfect weight I was looking for. I won't know about it's durability for a while and will only update the review if the durability is bad. As other reviews stated, I can wear L or XL and ordered the Large and it fit perfect. I am 6'1" and 185 lbs and recommend the Large. Read more
This review is mostly about the fit since the quality appears to be good. I am 5’9” and weigh 165 with a semi-athletic build. I wear a size medium or large in most t-shirts and a size 38 suit jacket. After reading reviews, I ordered a medium. I tried it on and was disappointed. The jacket was too long (it went a couple inches past my waist) and the shoulders were too big (the seams went well past my shoulders down onto my arms). It looked like I was wearing my dads jacket. I let my roommate try it on who wears a large/XL and is about the same height but a bit heavier with significantly bigger shoulders and chest and it was still one size too big. Perhaps I received a defective one or maybe their sizing is just really inconsistent. If you want to wear this jacket in a more fashion-forward sense, I would honestly recommend sizing down 2 sizes. If you like a baggier/looser fit, even one size down is still good. Like all the other reviews say, the quality seems really good for this price. Read more
Great quality jacket for the price! This is the thinner version but still does well to keep you warm especially if you’re wearing long sleeves underneath/layering up. I would definitely consider several other colors. Runs big so order a size down. I typically wear size large. I ordered a medium and it fits just right. Maybe even have a tad bit of extra space. Best one out there for the money and more. Well built and very warm unlike others I sent back this one has a right hand zipper that is reversible and deep pockets inside and out. The rib cuffs and waist are thick and strong. The lg was true to size for me. I am 6'1" 185 athletic build. Read more
