Got these in dark grey and they're exactly what I was looking for. The fabric feels really nice and stretchy without being too thin or cheap feeling. I've worn them golfing a few times and they move with you perfectly when you're swinging. The pockets are actually useful too and I can fit my phone, keys, and golf tees without everything bouncing around. The fit is spot on for me. I ordered my usual size and they sit right where they should. Not too baggy but not tight either. The 9 inch length hits just above my knee which looks good whether I'm at the course or just running errands. My wife even said they look nice enough to wear out to dinner. What I really like is how they don't wrinkle up after sitting in the cart all day. And they wash really easy and just throw them in with everything else and they come out looking good. The color matches the photos pretty well too. Only thing I wish is that the waistband was a little more stretchy, but honestly it's not a big deal since they fit well anyway. These work great for golf but I've been wearing them for regular stuff too. Would definitely work for anyone who wants shorts that look decent but are still comfortable enough for sports. Read more
I just received the Northyard Men’s golf shorts and they are a solid pair of casual shorts. The material was a little lighter than I expected, but they feel good in the heat of Texas. I do not play golf, but I wanted these for travel and around the hot Hill Country Texas area. I do like the DEEP pockets and the ability to have so many places to store items while traveling. The only issue I have with the packets in the front is the angle of the second pocket and the way it looks with a tucked shirt. This may be a design for golfing and maybe I’m just overthinking the design. The sizing appears to run a little small compared to my other shorts. I would have preferred to have a zipper on the rear left pocket, but it has a button and that would work for most people. I do normally wear untucked shirts, like the picture, and with your shirt untucked the shorts look pretty good. I do believe at this cost the shorts are a good value, but if you wear these a lot the material may not last as long as a thicker nylon material. Also, I have a cat and he’s a lap cat with long black hair. I’d recommend to get a darker color if you have animals that shed. Overall, this was a good choice and I’d only recommend to get a size bigger if you are on the fence with sizing. Read more
These shorts arrived in an Amazon mailer with no damage. Inside the mailer was a shrink wrapped plastic package containing the shorts. When I open the shrink wrap, the shorts very quickly expanded to their normal size. It’s kinda hard for me to find shorts that fitting properly because my hips are so wide, and my thighs are so much bigger than normal. Despite that my waist is a lot smaller than most people my weight. Most people my weight have a 42 inch waist or larger, I’m usually around a 36 to 38. I usually wear a 38 because of 36 is just too small for my hips to fit in. These shorts have a 9 inch inch seems so they are a little bit shorter than other shorts and I am much taller than most people as well, I’m about 6 foot four. I do prefer the fit with these shorts have compared to many others. I’m not really into super long shorts. Read more
These shorts seemed like a solid match when for lightweight and comfortable shorts to wear around the house out and maybe while running errands. The fabric feels light and breathable, and the elastic waist has a nice amount of stretch that makes them quite comfortable. The big issue is that the fabric started to show pilling on the thigh area. I'm assuming it came from resting a laptop there. It’s not terrible, but it did show up after a few wears, and it makes me question how well the material will hold up over time. Overall, they’re comfortable and nice shorts, but the early pilling knocks them down a bit for me. If the fabric proves more durable in future versions, they’d be easy to recommend more strongly. Ordered these in a size 34, closer to a 32. The shorts themselves are of nice quality. Light, stretchy and comfortable. They wash well and are made of a quick dry material. They look sharp on and would work at a nice golf club, however, they're a bit short for my husband's taste. Accurate to picture and description; shorter is just the style these days. Overall, they're a decent pair of shorts at a reasonable price, just size up. Read more
I was between 4 and 5 stars on this item, but as with much clothing, sizing and fit can be a struggle. With respect to that, the size runs just a tad small. Not a huge issue at the waist because the waist does expand a bit, but through the thighs it is slim. I'm 6' and about 195, and the thighs and crotch are a little more snug than I typically like. I would classify this as more of a "slim fit" through the thigh. From a comfort perspective these are amazing! Love the feel against the skin when moving, feels very natural and no chafing. These are super flexible and stretchy as well, while maintaining a khaki style appearance. One functional note, this unit actually has an outer and inner pocket on each side. Larger that your typical watch pocket on jeans. You could fit a small wallet, or golf tees or balls, and all sorts of things in the inner pocket. Sweet! Like these pants, would just recommend for slimmer people, or order a size up. Read more
