Received quickly, and assembled quickly and used it that evening for my shower. I love this chair, it's sturdy, comfortable and I like the size. It fits in the shower easily with plenty of room. The big test was going to be my husband who is partially disabled. He used it the next day and unfortunately slid off. It took a little maneuvering but got back in the chair. His legs and feet are no longer capable of holding him up. Now, the best I can figure is the slight incline for the drain was the cause because the chair was positioned a little back of the drain. Since the chair is non returnable, I called NOVA and asked for advice. After chatting with a very sympathetic young woman, she was able to recommend their Happy Tush - Gel Cell cushion and sent it free of charge. My husband has been using it for awhile now and this solved the problem and he no longer slides in the seat. Thank you NOVA, you are a great company and I certainly would recommend to everyone. This chair is solid, well built, and thoughtfully designed. Assembly is easy; parts just snap into place. When in use no parts move or become loose and it stays in place in the shower. Three design features are more useful than I had imagined. The back lets you lean back and relax which produces a feeling of confidence. The arms are sturdy and are very useful in sitting down and getting up. The notch in the front is surprisingly efficient and helpful. These folks did not just build a chair, they thought about it. My dad loves this chair. He has some health issues as he has grown older and needs a shower chair. I ordered this one for him. He loves it. He said it was very easy to put together. No tools were needed. He feels much safer in the shower. The chair is easy to get into and out of. The only trouble we had was it didn't come the day it was supposed to. I received an email saying it was running late. That was no real problem, but no new delivery date was given. The next day, received an email stating 3 more days. I was ok with that and relayed the info to my dad. Then the next day got an email saying it was shipped and would be delivered that day. Now the thing is for many, this isn't a big deal, but my dad depends on others to help him get things done as I live in a different state. We didn't know the assembly would be so easy and thought it would require someone to help put it together. He had to keep making different arrangements. This is a very sturdy chair. Just what we wanted and needed. We are very pleased with it. The initial assembly would have been a breeze but for a couple of problems. One reviewer found it very hard to remove the protective plugs from the ends of some of the tubes. I did wind up using a small Channellock pliers to grip one of the quadrants of the plug and just "cam" the plug out by leveraging the pliers against the opposite side of the plug. They removed easily that way. Just pulling them straight out would have been a significant effort. But the plugs really protected the tube ends. The more significant issue was attaching the back. One of the receiver tubes on the seat had a flat piece of metal inside the tube lip that prevented one side of the back support from sliding in at all. I had to clear that out with a small round file. Then, it seated normally. So, the only reason this is not a 5 star review is the need for some filing and fitting. This item arrived in one day but... the box was pretty dinged up- fortunately the items in question were undamaged inside.. Originally after some research and careful consideration for my grandfather who is 92 years old this definitely checks the necessary boxes for (his) needs. 1. Takes a little bit of manipulating the parts for the installation but personally found this process was fairly painless and came with very clear instruction. No tools needed! Assembled in 5 minutes .. (It may benefit you to have it assembled if possible by a loved one .. however this should be relatively simple In my opinion for most people) 2. Sturdy enough design that I was actually able to stand on top of it .. but more importantly he was able to sit on it comfortably and took a nice shower. He weighs 160. Appears to be a great fit so far with no issue installing into the shower/bath. (Measure appropriately!) 3. This is a high quality chair. The legs angle outward about 10 degrees making the chair very stable. Large angled rubber feet on the legs add to the stability. The arm rests are at a good height to help with standing. The u-shaped cut out is helpful for washing your private parts. The chair goes together very easily with no tools needed. I really like this product - very functional and very stable. One part was missing a hole. Nova replaced it promptly. Despite that, it's a 5 star chair and in my opinion worth the price - especially if you will be using it for some time. Read more

I'm a caregiver for a Parkinson patient and I also take care of my father that has a hard time standing and walking. My client had one of those screw on rounded leg plastic type shower chair you see sold here on Amazon and it broke while he was sitting in it and he fell to the bottom of the shower. I wasn't there when it happened and I wish someone took pics of it. I have one of the these shower chairs for my dad and I ordered one for my client and they are very happy with the chair. It is sturdy and you don't have to worry about it breaking while showering. The legs are adjustable and easy to put together. I highly recommend these types of chairs over those screw on plastic leg chairs. A lot of my past clients had these chairs with no problem. Read more
