I’m waiting on a stool sample analysis from the vet for my foster kittens, who have continued to have bad diarrhea despite several rounds of medication. I was getting desperate to see some sort of improvement in their poops in the meantime, and that’s when I landed upon this product. It took about 24 hours after their first dose of the paste (giving them the paste 3x a day), but wow, their poops are a lot better this morning. This is exactly the same product as purchased from my last Vet appt awhile back, except half the price. When I ran out, I decided to try Amazon. I thought i might as well give it a try to see if it was the same... it is!! Personally, I don't know why some reviewers have left negative reviews. The product I got is fresh (not hard to squeeze out of tube at all). My cat actually likes the taste of the paste so all I do is squeeze the paste into my palm & he licks it all off. He also doesn't seem to notice when I sprinkle the capsules in his wet food. And my cat is a super senior & very picky with food. Some reviewers said there are no directions on the box, but perhaps they are confused because the directions are printed right on the box AS WELL AS "give as per recommendation of your Vet". Easy enough to understand. And that should ALWAYS be done anyway because the vet would know whether or not your cat actually needs it. This is a great product that is normally only given per prescription, so this is an easier way to get the same product quickly without waiting for a prescription. I trust my Vet, & she highly recommends Proviable! I went through one course with my cat awhile back, & it worked like a charm. Because my baby has cancer, he may need to on proviable long term, which is why I decided to try Amazon for about half the price. Same exact product, just more economical. We have a large doodle who has a sensitive tummy as a puppy! I've bought this product 4 times (after buying from my vet once, they said it was the same from Amazon!) over the two years we've had her for occasional loose stools/tummy issues. It works FAST and reliably with firmer stools after 1-2 doses of the paste. She eats it easily on her food or by itself so while it smells a little weird to me, she loves it. WIN WIN. BUY THIS. I've been pretty happy with this product. The inclusion of prebiotics was a big plus for me and it really helps firm up loose stools. It provides strong digestive support for dogs and also supports their intestinal health. The only things that could do with some improvement are the ease of use and the longevity of the product. The cat/dog version works well for dogs, but my cats refuse to get near the paste. I wish Proviable came in a cat only version with a fish taste to get cats to eat it. The pills work well on my cats. Even putting a dab of the paste on the highest value treats doesn’t work. The paste smell is very strong and my cats will not be fooled by hiding it in food or treats. I was desparte for something to help my dog when she was having diarrhea for 4 days straight. I was nervous she wouldn't like the taste and i would have to force feed this to her but she licked it off a spoon just like she does peanut butter. I was also nervous that she wouln't eat her dog food if i put the pill in it but she did. Now any time my dog shows a hint of digestion issues I give her this stuff and it clears right up.
