Nutricost Pantry Xanthan Gum 1 LB - Gluten-Free GMO-Free

I bought Nutricost Xanthan gum for thickening liquids in cooking. Xanthan gum is also supposed to help with weight management (increased fullness due to soluble fiber), and blood sugar control (slowing sugar absorption). It can be tricky to work with and takes a while to dissolve lumps, but if you are gluten intolerant, and you want the other benefits, I thought it a good choice. This item is sooooo overpriced in your average grocery store. I tried looking at smaller stores, even bigger companies like Walmart. Eother they dont have it, orits overpriced for the amount you are getting. I found this to be perfect and works just like intended! I use it in Frozen alchohol drinks as a thickener. Outstanding for gravy. Zero Net carbs! Took me some trial and error but I finally got there. About one teaspoon to 3 tablespoons works. Won't make a rouxe. Gotta be patient. Heat this slowly with your gravy ingrediments and this will make great gravy wit zero net carbs. Read more
