My personal experience was dealing with Snow Dogs they were a great seller providing after the sale assistance. Now the product.. i originally bought a single collar setup for my dog that wanders freely on several acres partially wooded and not all visible from back of house. A litter of puppies later ( too bad I didn't have a collar on Baby Daddy from up the street I would have set it to backflip mode) and a roadside rescue I came back and bought the 2 collar set. The beep or tone signal is great so you can locate a dog audibly when they can't be seen or are being stubborn and not returning to the alert. Vibrate works perfectly for getting attention and detering actions. Then shock of course does what it says. The battery power seems fine but the effect of dogs wrestling there teeth can and do turn off collars. The collars are adjustable which is a good thing. My suggestion is to size it to your dog and trim off the excess and melt the ends to prevent fraying. When you don't and if the excess is long enough it now becomes a tug of war collar which can turn into let me free you from "The Man" where the one dog will completely chew the entire collar off the other. Moral of the story is, the collars work good. In my experience the range is around 600 ft we have lots of trees. The new set worked on the old sets remote and vice versa you can have up to 4 collars on one remote. These hold up to my 3 very intense dogs and appear to be water resistant. And after a jail break that rendered one collar completely ruined and the receiver itself partially destroyed. I have two dogs and I've been using these collars for a several years. I have one dog who loves exploring the hillside. This has trained him to return home when I call. It covers a long distance, enough that I can't hear him in the woods, but he still races back home. It's also very sturdy; he goes down the kidzu-ed ravines. On occasion he's pulled off a collar- my fault for not putting it on tighter- and I can find it by wandering thru the woods with the remote. Recently my remote stopped pairing. for the money these collars work great, they do need recharging after a day of use but that is not a big deal as the dog does not wear it at night and charge is fast 2 hours if completely dead. Like that the sound and or the vibration works well with out the need for the shock mode. If you are looking for instant command, this is not the collar for you as it has a 1 to 2 second response time. works well for barking, digging or any other habit that the dog would be doing for 2 seconds after you push the button. As I said it is not an instant correction. I have a jumper and by the time the button is pushed and the collar responds the action is over. I still like it for other habits that need breaking. I purchased this product in order to help train my two large dogs to return to me when called. I have a spacious UNfenced backyard and wanted to find something that would allow these energetic dogs to run freely but also help them stay within the boundaries of my property and come back to me as soon as I called. They had run off before, and for their safety they needed more training. I bought this product on a whim and was very impressed and pleased with the results. This product has three settings: the electric shock, vibration, or a high-pitched beeping sound that can be used for training purposes. Within days of using the product consistently, my dogs were able to run as much as they wanted to and would return to me as soon as I pressed the beep button. I haven’t even used the shock and barely used the vibration and these dogs do exactly what I want them to do. I’m very impressed and have told other friends with dogs about the product. I was so excited about this product. I have two giant Aussie doodle puppies (4 months) and they need an little extra push. I charged them and one worked while the other did not. The one that worked, only worked for one day. The remote says the collar was fully charged but when you press any button there was no output. I placed it back on the charger thinking that may help. When I plugged it in the light was green indicating it’s charged as the remote says. So I turned it off then back on thinking maybe it needed a quick restart and the light was red although the remote reflected fully charged. Yes, I followed Instructions as this is not a complicated product to use. I’m upset because the reviews were pretty good.
